INSTALLATION
1. Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘pos_paypal_payment_acquirer’.
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Apps menu and click ‘Update Modules List.’
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters. Search ‘pos_paypal_payment_acquirer’.
7. You can see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.
WORKFLOW
CONFIGURATION
1. Under the Point of Sale, select ‘Paypal Configurations’ settings under the Configuration tab.
2. Here, all PayPal configurations for their respective POS can be seen. Afterward, select ‘New’ to generate a new Configuration.
3. Enter the PayPal API credentials for account linkage on this page. Then, set the configuration type to test during the demo and Save.
4. Under the POS PayPal Payment Screen tab, select ‘POS Payment Screen Configuration’.
5. Here, Click on ‘New’ to generate a new Configuration and Customer Display URL.
6. Afterwards, select POS Shop and set up Payment Screen Configurations. These include the Welcome Screen Heading, Subheading and Content.
7. Select ‘Add’ to upload a maximum of 3 images for the welcome screen.
8. Under the same tab, select POS Paypal Payment Transaction. Here, all the PayPal-specific payments are visible. This includes the amount, transaction ID, and order ID.
9. Then, select Settings under the Configuration tab. Scroll down to the Inventory Submenu. Select the ‘Type of Payment Screen.’
Also, choose either the ‘POS Payment’ option to display the QR code solely on the POS operator’s screen.
Or, choose ‘On Payment Screen’ to display the QR code on the Point of Sale Payment Display.
‘Screen Configuration’ is a redirecting shortcut to the configuration settings mentioned in point 6.
POS OPERATORS VIEW
1. The Point of Sale Operator can add Items to the cart and select the ‘Payment’ option.
2. Then, under the Payment Section, select Paypal and enter the amount to be tendered.
3. If the POS Payment option is chosen, a popup appears for customers to scan and pay.
4. After Payment is successful, the Payment Creations success message pops up.
5. After proper validation, Paypal is visible as a payment method on the bill.
POS CUSTOMERS VIEW
1. The screen below displays the previously configured Payment Screen for the specific POS.
2. As soon as PayPal is selected along with the customer, a QR code is displayed. This code is for further payment processing.
