User Guide for Odoo POS Multi Currency

INSTALLATION 

1. Once you purchase the App, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.

2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named-  ‘pos_payment_in_multi_currency’.

3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.

4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.

5. Then, open the Apps menu and click ‘Update Modules List.’

6. In the search bar, remove all the filters. Search ‘pos_payment_in_multi_currency’.

7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

CONFIGURATION

1. Under the Point of Sale Module, select ‘Settings’ under the ‘Configuration’ tab

2. Select the POS shop and scroll down to the Multicurrency tab. Afterwards, all the Currencies deployed under the POS are visible and configurable.

3. Upon clicking ‘Create and Edit’ while typing, a popup for currency settings appears. Enter the exchange rates here based on the date. Click ‘Save & Close’.

POS OPERATOR’s POV

1. At the Payment Selection screen, first click on ‘Multi-Currency’

2. After that, select the preferred payment method.

3. A popup appears with currency selection and the exchange rate used for conversion.

4. The amount to be paid is automatically converted and processed. Furthermore, click ‘Validate’. 

5. On the receipt, the payment method as well as foreign currency is printed.

6. Upon closing the session, a summary of all foreign currencies is shown for better tracking.

7. On the Session Sales Report, Other Currency Payments are also displayed.

8. They can be seen by admin on the backend for each order under the payments tab.
