User Guide for Odoo POS Items Count

INTRODUCTION

Track the number of purchased items with Odoo POS Items Count!

In Point of Sale, it is necessary to count the number of items purchased for a particular order, as it will be easy for the POS user and customers to track their items. But the default Odoo POS does not offer such a feature. Hence, we created Odoo POS Items Count.

The item count module displays the total number of items added to the POS cart for a particular order. It helps the POS user and customers to keep count of the number of items in the POS cart per order. Further, it helps in verifying the item(s) count. Moreover, the module displays the items count on the POS screen or the XML Receipt (POSBOX).

FEATURES

• Odoo POS Items Count facilitates the POS user to keep a count of the number of items in the POS cart per order.
• It further displays the total number of items added to the POS cart for a particular order.
• The POS user and customers can easily verify the item(s) count.
• The item(s) count can be seen on the POS receipt, ticket, or on XML Receipt (POS BOX).
• The module does not require backend configuration after installation.

INSTALLATION

1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘pos_items_count.’
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List.’
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘pos_items_count.’
7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

Let’s start the configuration of Odoo POS Items Count.

CONFIGURATION

1. After installation, the module is ready for use, and you don’t need to configure it. Go to the Odoo backend and click the ‘New Session’ button on the Point of sale dashboard.

2. In the POS session, add a few items to the cart, and the system will show the item count. Also, select the customer and click the ‘Payment’ button.

3. On the next page, enter the amount and click the ‘Validate’ button.

4. In the generated POS receipt, you can see the ‘Total Items’ at the bottom of the receipt.
