How to manage Dashboard in Odoo?
Odoo is a perfect software to manage your business then how can it forget the most important part of a business; that is tracking and monitoring.
Dashboard is such a famous tool now that’s why Odoo is now trying to give the dashboard for every Odoo solution like Sale, Inventory, Accounting, CRM, Website etc.
But other than that Odoo also provides the feature to prepare the custom dashboard which helps to track the data as per your requirement.
Odoo Dashboard Installation
So in order to manage Odoo Dashboard, first you need to install the “Dashboard” module in Odoo.
To install the “Dashboard” module in Odoo follow the below mentioned steps.
- Go to the Odoo app list
- Then you can search for the module “board”(technical name).
- Then click on the install button to achieve this feature in Odoo.
Setting up Odoo Dashboard
After the successful installation you can find one extra option inside the search bar of views in Odoo backend.
You can notice a new option “Add to my Dashboard” inside the favorites section.
So this option helps you to add a custom dashboard as per your need.
For example you want to add the custom dashboard for “Quotation” then after adding filters inside the sale orders you can simply click on the “Add to my Dashboard” option. After clicking on that option you will get an option to add the name for the dashboard.
Once you have added the name you need to click on the “ADD” button to save the dashboard for the current filter. Once you click on that option you will get a message “Please refresh your browser for the changes to take effect” from Odoo.
Then as per the instruction refresh the page and go to the dashboard menu. Here you can find the custom dashboard which is saved by you.
You can also change the layout of your dashboard in Odoo by clicking on the “CHANGE LAYOUT” button.
Here you can find options like one, two or more sections of a dashboard view layout. It lets you easily track all your Odoo data in a single place.
