INTRODUCTION

Odoo Birthday Reminder(Employees): Remembering your employee’s birthday is a great way to show that you care. The presence of good relationships in the workplace helps in increasing loyalty and develop a feeling of belongingness among the employees which directly helps in increasing the motivation level of the employees. Having Good relationships limits the chances of conflicts and boosts the trust and confidence among employees which directly helps in building a better workplace culture.

It’s a way to show your employees that you have a relationship with them beyond the lead metrics and projected sales revenues. Hence considering this, Webkul comes with the ‘Odoo Birthday Reminder(Employees)’ module which will send a greeting to the Users and Employees on their Birthday.

FEATURES

1. This module is used to send a greeting to the Users and Employees on their Birthday.
2. Has the option of selecting the Users(All users/Portal users/Employees).
3. Greetings will be sent by the automatic cron scheduler.
4. Admin can modify the email template and cron scheduler.
5. Have the option of sending a greeting before the actual date.

INSTALLATION

1. Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘birthday_reminder_hr’.
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
5. Then, open on the Apps menu and click on the ‘Update Modules List’.
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘birthday_reminder_hr’.
7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

1. Firstly, login to the Odoo Instance and go to the Settings.

2. Go to ‘Reminder’ and click on ‘Birthday Reminder’.

3. Click on the ‘Create’ button to create a new Event Reminder.

4. Now, define Event name, Select to whom you want to send the greetings, enable/disable the reminder option, define the particular Email Template which you want to send, define the number of days before you want to send the greetings. Once done with defining all selective field you can save the settings, by clicking on save button.

5. Click on ‘Email Template’ field, it will redirect to the template page. Now, define the Template name, select to whom it will apply, define content to be sent, email configuration, and advanced settings. Once done click on save button.

6. Click on the ‘Birthday Reminder’ field, it will redirect to the ‘Cron Scheduler’ page. Here, you can check the details of the Cron scheduler. It will be executed every day.
