User Guide for Odoo Amazon Pay Payment Acquirer

Odoo Amazon Pay Payment Acquirer connects Amazon Pay with Odoo. Customers can use their Amazon account to make payments through the website.

Customers can choose an available payment method and complete the payment through Amazon Pay. Odoo also keeps the payment transaction linked to the related website order.

The module helps admins view payment status and transaction details from the Odoo backend. Admins can also manage Amazon Pay from the Payment Providers settings.

1. Add Amazon Pay as a website payment option.
2. Let customers sign in with their Amazon account.
3. Allow customers to choose an available payment method.
4. Let customers review their payment details before payment.
5. Complete website payments through Amazon Pay.
6. Update payment transaction status in Odoo.
7. Link payment results with website orders.
8. Track Amazon Pay transactions from the Odoo backend.
9. Manage Amazon Pay from Payment Providers settings.

1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive a link to download module’s zip file.
2. Extract the file on your system after download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘payment_amazon_pay’.
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate Developer Mode.
5. Then, open Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List.’
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘payment_amazon_pay’.
7. You will be able to see module in the search results. Click on ‘Activate’ to install it.

Configuration of Odoo Amazon Pay Payment Acquirer

1. Go to Website → Configuration → Payment Providers from the Odoo backend. Open the Amazon Pay Payment Acquirer, set the provider state to the required value (e.g., Test Mode or Enabled), and enter the required Amazon Pay credentials in the Credentials section.

2. After configuring Amazon Pay, open the website checkout page and select Amazon Pay as the payment method. Click the Amazon Pay button to continue with the payment.

3. After clicking the Amazon Pay button, customers are redirected to the Amazon Pay sign-in page. They can enter their Amazon account details or create a new Amazon account to continue.

4. After the payment is completed, customers are redirected to the Odoo order confirmation page. The page shows the successful payment message, order details, total amount, and payment information.

5. From the Odoo backend, go to Payment Transactions and open the required Amazon Pay transaction to view its full details. The transaction page shows the payment status, amount, payment method, provider reference, customer details, and order information.
