Guide for Magento 2 Add Order Tip

Magento 2 Add Order tip allows the customers to add an order tip for the delivery partner. With the help of this module, the customers can give a thank you tip to their delivery person for appreciation.

The extension enables the customers to add the tip manually by themselves. They can add the tip during checkout and it will reflect in their order details.

Check a brief overview of the plugin –

• The admin can add a maximum of seven tips.
• The store owners can enable or disable the module status.
• The customers can choose any of the rendered tip options according to their choice from checkout.
• The customers can even add any tip manually by themselves.
• GraphQL is implemented.

Note – This module does not support Virtual and Downloadable product types.

#1 Download Module

Firstly, you need to log in to the Webkul Store, go to My Account>My Purchased Products section, verify and then download and extract the contents of this zip folder on the system.

#2 Upload Folder

Once the module zip is extracted, follow path src>app and then copy the app folder into the Adobe Commerce Cloud root directory on the server as shown below:

#3 Run Commands

After uploading the module folder, you need to run the following commands in the Magento 2 root directory:

php bin/magento setup:upgrade

php bin/magento setup:di:compile

php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy

php bin/magento indexer:reindex

php bin/magento cache:flush

The admin will navigate through Stores> Configuration> Add To Tip to make general configurations as shown in the screenshot:

Module Enable- The admin has to select ‘Yes’ to enable the module status.

Tip Options- The store admin can add a maximum of seven tips. These tip options will display on the checkout page.

The order tips will display right below the Order Total option at the time of checkout. Here, the customer can choose the appreciation tip for the delivery person.

Moreover, customers can save the tip for the next order also by just ticking on the Save this for next order option. This tip will get added to the next order automatically whenever the customer places their next order.

They can add a customized tip with the use of the ‘Other‘ option by just entering the tip value and clicking on Done. The customized order tip gets added to the order when the customer clicks on Done.

The added order tip will display to the customers in their My Orders section in the order details as shown in the image:

The admin has to navigate through Sales>Orders to view the order tip.

Here, the order tip will display to the admin in the Orders & Account Information section of the Orders.
