In the dynamic landscape of e-commerce, influencers have become the driving force behind successful marketing strategies. As brands strive to harness the reach and impact of influencers, the need for dedicated platforms to connect influencers with businesses has grown. Enter Webkul’s Multivendor Marketplace App for Shopify – a powerful tool that empowers you to create your very own Influencers Marketplace. In this blog post, we’ll walk you through the steps to launch your marketplace and capitalize on the potential of influencer collaborations.

Understanding the Inner Workings of an Influencer Marketplace

An influencer marketplace functions as a centralized platform where influencers, acting as sellers, showcase their skills and offerings. Brands, in the role of customers, explore influencer profiles, initiate collaborations, and seamlessly manage campaigns. The inner workings involve a dynamic interplay of features such as:

  • Search and Discovery Mechanism:
Brands can use filters to find influencers based on criteria like niche, audience demographics, and engagement rates.
  • Booking and Communication:
Brands can directly communicate with influencers, propose collaborations, and even book influencers for specific campaigns or periods.
  • Transaction and Payment Handling:
The marketplace facilitates secure transactions, ensuring that influencers receive fair compensation for their services.
  • Campaign Management:
Brands can create, monitor, and optimize campaigns, tracking key performance metrics to gauge the success of influencer collaborations.
  • Review and Feedback System:
The brands contribute to a transparent feedback system, building credibility and assisting others in making informed decisions. We can use the booking product feature app within the Multivendor Marketplace App.
  • Continuous Improvement:
The platform evolves through regular updates, incorporating new features and optimizations to enhance the user experience for influencers and brands alike.

By grasping the intricacies of these inner workings, you can effectively navigate the creation of your influencer marketplace, fostering a thriving ecosystem where brands and influencers collaborate seamlessly for mutual success.

Set up the App

After installing the program, adjust it to meet the needs of your influencer marketplace. Set commission rates, payment channels, and seller registration and product listing guidelines. Make sure to provide clear guidelines for your sellers.

Step 2: Choose the Shop Type (For Influencer Marketplace We’ll choose  Digital Product )

Here, you get the option for choosing the type of shop, so in the case of influencers Marketplace, you need to choose Digital Product and sell Digital product as a service in the Multivendor App.

How to add Digital Products?

To add a digital product, go to Multivendor Marketplace Seller Panel > Products > Product Listing > Add Product.

Digital Product as Service

The administrator now has the flexibility to incorporate digital products as services within the Multi-vendor App. With this option, both you and your sellers can effortlessly create and sell digital products without the immediate need to upload digital files. Instead, the uploading of digital files can take place after an order for the digital product is successfully placed.

To initiate this feature, the admin should follow these steps:

  • Access the Configuration menu of the app.
  • Navigate to Product Configuration.
  • Activate the “ADD DIGITAL PRODUCT AS SERVICE” tab.

Upon activating this tab by the admin, the choice becomes visible in both the admin and seller’s Edit Product sections. When incorporating or modifying digital products, you have to activate the “ADD DIGITAL PRODUCT AS SERVICE” option. Choosing this option will deactivate the other features, such as file upload and the number of accessible days, for that specific digital product.

Once a customer completes an order, both the admin and the seller will have the opportunity to upload a digital file. Navigate to App > Orders > Order Listing > Edit Order > Upload the digital files. Subsequently, the customer will receive an email notification containing a link to download the digital file.

Portfolio Showcase:

Implement a portfolio section where influencers can showcase their previous work, allowing brands to evaluate their style and suitability for collaborations.

Step 5: Product/Service Listings for Influencers

Product/Service Pages

Adapt the product or service listing functionality for influencers. This could include sponsored posts, collaborations, shoutouts, or any other offerings they provide.
We can use this feature in the Multivendor Marketplace app by adding the feature app named “ Sponsored Product” App which helps you to promote seller products in your Shopify Store

Pricing and Terms:

Enable influencers to set the prices, terms, and conditions for collaborations. This flexibility encourages influencers to express their unique value propositions.

Step 6: Brand Registration and Collaboration

Brand Registration:

Brands looking for influencer collaborations register as customers on the platform.

Campaign Creation:

Brands can create campaigns by specifying their requirements, objectives, target audience, and budget. This serves as a proposal for influencers to consider.

Step 7: Seamless Communication and Collaboration

Messaging System:

Implement a robust messaging system within the marketplace for seamless communication between influencers and brands. This ensures clarity and facilitates smooth collaboration. The Multi Vendor app has this seller-buyer chat feature app which allows seller/admin and customer to communicate with each other.

Booking System:

Integrate a booking system where brands can directly book influencers for specific campaigns or time slots, streamlining the collaboration process.
This Booking Product feature app helps both admin and sellers to add bookings to products available on the marketplace. You can create booking slots as per the availability & customers can select their preferred slot at the time of booking.

Subscription feature App for Influencer Marketplace

Implementing a subscription feature in an influencer marketplace can be a strategic move to ensure a consistent revenue stream for both the influencers and the platform.
To provide the subscription feature in your Influencer marketplace you can use the Multivendor Marketplace feature app called Product Subscription.

With this App, the Influencers can create a subscription to their Services and get maximum customer retention in the store. Check out this Guide for the configuration of this App

Step 8: Secure Payment Processing

Payment Gateway Integration:

Set up a secure payment gateway for transactions between brands and influencers. This may include one-time collaboration fees, ongoing partnerships, or commission-based models.

Online Seller Payout Methods

By using these payment methods, the admin can pay the sellers online through the app. However, both admin and sellers must have a business PayPal account.

  • PayPal
  • PayFast
  • Razorpay

Offline Seller Payout Methods

Admin can use these payment methods offline, track the amount in the app, and maintain a record of the way payments are made to the seller.

  • Internet Banking
  • Bank Wire Transfer

You can set up these in the payment configuration menu.

From the payment configuration menu, you can simply choose the payment method that you want to appear on the seller’s end. To learn more about the Payment Configuration refer to this guide

Restriction Configuration

In the Multivendor Marketplace app, we get the restriction configuration. These configurations provide administrators or marketplace owners with the ability to set various restrictions and rules for vendors/sellers on the platform.

The Restrict Collection configuration helps the admin to restrict the sellers to add new collections if he/she doesn’t want to have or sync the collections on his Multivendor Marketplace app.

Step 9: Analytics and Reporting

Once your Influencer marketplace is operational, keep an eye on its progress through the Multivendor Marketplace App. Get user comments and evaluate the platform’s performance with analytics. Make changes and resolve issues

Step 10: Feedback and Ratings

Review System

Implement a feedback and rating system to build trust and credibility within the marketplace. Positive reviews can enhance an influencer’s profile and attract more brand collaborations.

Social Commerce App for Feedback and Ratings

Social E-commerce app allows your users to create a Social Profile of their own, share their thoughts, follow/unfollow as and when required, comment, post, like/unlike products, and much more on your online store. As a store owner, you can choose to enable /disable the feature that you want to show or activate. Configuration of the app is very simple and divided into 05 sections: General Configuration Social Configuration Label Configuration Design Configuration Mail Configuration. Go through this Guide for the Configuration of a Social Commerce App for Shopify.
This app will enable the customers to share their feedback and give ratings to the Influencers.
