    How to enable Chatter and Social Media in Salesforce

    In this blog, we will learn how to enable chatter and social media. Let’s take a preview of a contact header and observe how does it look before enabling chatter and social media.

    Now let’s get started with enabling chatter.

    Enable Chatter

    Step 1: Go to Setup > Customize > Chatter > Chatter Settings.
    Step 2: Click on Edit button.
    Step 3: Click Enable checkbox, and change the settings according to your need and Save.

    Enable Social Media

    Step 1: Go to Setup > Customize > Social Media > Social Accounts, Contacts, and Leads.
    Step 2: Click Enable Social Accounts, Contacts, and Leads checkbox, and change the settings according to your need and Save.

    Output

    Let’s view contact header again.

    Click on My Profile.

    As you can view in above picture, you can upload your profile picture on chatter and post messages to feed etc.
