Diwali : Festival of joy, happiness and positivity, one of the most prominent festival of lights, symbolizing the triumph of good, the victory of all the brightness and kindest over all dark and evil. It is generally a five-day celebration wherein families get together, friends indulge in festivity, light lamps and diyas. Diwali signifies different things to people of different region across the country and celebrated in a unique manner. It also imperative to include some bit of reflection and self-revelation because diwali is as much about spirituality, as it is about dressing-up and attending parties. Not only in India, Diwali is also celebrated by Indians all over the world with great enthusiasm.

This year too, we celebrated green and eco-firendly diwali at Webkul’s campus. All the youth were excited to attend the crackerless dhamakedar diwali celebration in pure Indian traditional getup. The day arrives and celebration started with mindful fun-games followed by number and action energizer and team-spirit game. The number and action energizer was a kind of warm up game to energize the group, so that participants can make themselves ready for the next most joyful and full of treasure game.

Now the time was of the most treasureful diwali theme game “DIWALI HUNT”. The game pointed out the thrill in the chase. Two teams were formed and given a task of hunting the treasures and decorate the pre-arranged floor’s bay within the time limit. All the members of both the team were excitedly working on their idea of hunting and using the Diwali treasures like kalash, diyas, coloured chart paper, door hanging, rangoli colours etc for decoration. Here the amazing part was eagerness to win among all and grab the bounty of goody bag, which converts “DIWALI HUNT” into “DIWALI ADVENTURE”.

The ethnic day was announced and employees had to walk the ramp in traditional attire, Saree : Female & Kurta-Paijama : Males. The Event gave the traditional touch to festive activity and the surprise element was the best female and male ramp walker. After the ramp walk event, it’s most people’s favorite time of the day “Lunch Time”, when all were in the fantastic mood and having their delicious lunch with sweet, other were enjoying some games like Fooseball, Counterstrike etc.

Later the Diwali celebration turned out to be colorful with rangoli competition. What a sweet sound it makes on uttering! And images conjured up in the mind all speak of one theme – Colours. A Folk art of India, it is like a ritual or devout tradition ardently followed by Indians. The atmosphere was full of love and happiness, where all were fully charged and in adventurous and festive mood, How can their foot stop to get on the dance floor and those who were not in proper ethnic attire were given a lovely punishment of dance. At Last few interesting team games like burst the balloon and snake game make the occasion more joyful.
