    CS-Cart WePay Payment Gateway

    CS-Cart WePay Payment Gateway:
    CS-Cart WePay Payment Gateway allows your CS-Cart store/e-commerce website to accept credit card payment via WePay. WePay takes the hassle out of collecting payments online. It works well in staging and as well as in Production mode. So, start accepting payments in under a minute with WePay just by configuring this addon.

    How To Upload and Install

    After downloading CS-Cart WePay Payment Gateway, you will get a zip file and install.txt. Read the install.txt carefully and configure it accordingly.

    Go to “Manage add-ons”, click on “+” to upload and install the zip file as shown below.

    Click on “Local” to browse the zip file and then click on “Upload & Install” as shown below in snapshot.

    Payment Method Configuration At Backend

    CS-Cart WePay Payment Gateway supports both Inline and Outside payment types. We will configure both. Let’s start with Inline Payment Configuration.

    Go to “Administration” tab and click on “Payment methods”.

    Click on “+” to create a new payment method.

    Set the parameters as shown below in the snapshot.

    • Set the name of the payment method.
    • For check out, choose the processor as “WePay Payment Gateway(Inline)”.
    • Template for this payment processor will be “cc.tpl”.
    • Configure the other tabs accordingly as shown below in the snapshot.

     

    Click on “Configure” and set the parameters as shown below in the snapshot.

    Note: The currency for which the WePay account is configured must be enabled and active in your CS-Cart Store.
    1. Enter the WePay credentials which include Client Id, Client Secret, Account Id & Access Token.  To get WePay credentials, you need to create WePay App. Here is the step-by step process for the same – https://webkul.com/blog/how-to-create-wepay-app/
    2. Select the mode of payment (Either Staging or Production) as per your requirements.
    3. Choose the app fee payer who will pay the fees (WePay’s fees and any app fees).
      • Set to payer (case-sensitive) to charge fees to the person paying (payer will pay amount + fees, and the payee will receive amount).
      • Set to payee to charge fees to the person receiving money (payer will pay the amount, and the payee will receive amount – fees).
      • Select payer_from_app so that payer will be charged app fee (if there is one) and API application will be charged WePay fee.
      • Set to payee_from_app so that payee will be charged the app fee (if there is one) and the API application will be charged the WePay fee. Note that for the xxx_from_app calls: if the application’s account goes negative, WePay will recover funds from the bank account.

      In continuation with the previous configuration, Admin needs to –

    4.  Select the Checkout Type (Checkout type includes Goods, Donation, Service, Events, Personal)
    5. Capture response from WePay signifies that Payment has been reserved from Payer. In this field, admin can set order status for this kind of response.
    6. Authorized response from WePay signifies that Payment information has been confirmed by WePay and charged successfully. In this field, admin can set order status for this kind of response.
    7. Released response from WePay signifies that Payment has been credited in Admin Account. In this field, admin can set order status for this kind of response.
    8. Failed response from WePay signifies that Payment failed due to different reasons, like insufficient money or invalid card details etc. In this field, admin can set order status for this kind of response.
    9. Click on Create button to add this Payment method at your store.

    This is how Store Admin can configure Inline WePay Payment Gateway.

    Let’s now configure the Outside WePay Payment Gateway-

    Click on “+” to create a new payment method.  Set the parameters as shown below in the snapshot.

    • Set the name of the payment method.
    • For check out, choose the processor as “WePay Payment Gateway(Outside)”.
    • Template for this payment processor will be “cc_outside.tpl”.
    • Configure the other tabs accordingly as shown below in the snapshot.

    It will have the same configuration settings as that of Inline WePay Payment Gateway. Just the Payment processor and template will be different.

    This is how an Admin can configure WePay in his CS-Cart Store for both inline and outside payments.

    Front End View

    After successful configuration of payment method,  New payment options (Inline/Outside as per the configuration) will be available for customers at the front end. For payment, customer needs to select the option as shown below in the snapshot and enter the necessary details for payment.

    For payment (Inline), customer needs to select the option as shown below in the snapshot and enter the necessary details for payment.

     

    There will be a separate payment option for outside payment as per the admin configuration. The customer needs to select the payment method and submit the order.

    Customer will get redirected to the outside payment page of WePay as shown below. Customer needs to enter the card details & submit the order.
