    Guide for CS-Cart Amazon S3

    CS-Cart Amazon S3: This add-on allows store owners to integrate their CS-cart store with Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service). Amazon S3 is a highly scalable and reliable cloud storage service that allows users to store and retrieve any amount of data from anywhere on the web.

    Using this add-on will allow the admin of the cs-cart store to upload the CSS, JS files, and product images to the Amazon s3 server.

    Note: Initially, the user needs to register themselves to the Amazon AWS account. Click here to create an account.

    Installation

    After you download the add-on, you get one zip file and the install.txt file. Please read it carefully and follow it.

    Now, navigate to the admin backend panel via Add-ons->Manage add-ons and tap on the cog icon and then tap the Manual installation option.

    Thereafter a pop-up comes up, on that click on “Local” to browse the zip file, and then click on the “Upload & install” button.

    After installation of the add-on, you will find the “Amazon S3” in the list of available add-ons.

    Configuration

    After the successful installation of the add-on, the admin will be able to configure the plugin’s settings. Now, navigate to the Add-ons section and tap on the Amazon S3 add-on, and then go to the settings tab.

    Here, the admin will be able to set the credentials for the Amazon S3 storage and can upload the JS files, CSS files, and images for the products to the Amazon S3 server.

    Bucket Name for S3: Enter the bucket name.

    S3 Access Key: Enter the access key for your Amazon S3 server.

    Secret Key for S3: Enter the secret key for your Amazon S3 server.

    Enter Amazon S3 Region: Enter the region for your Amazon S3 Account.

    Check Bucket Availability: Tap, to check the bucket availability.

    After setting up all the details you can tap the Save button on the top right-hand corner.

    Now you can Upload the:

    JS files: Tap this link to upload product JS files to the Amazon S3 server.

    CSS Files: To upload all product CSS files to the Amazon S3 server, tap this link.

    Images: Tap this link to upload all product images and downloadable files to the AmazonS3 server.

    How CS-Cart Amazon S3 Works – An Example(Downloadable Product)

    After the admin had created a downloadable product from the cs-cart backend and the customer has placed the order for the same, the admin will activate the download from the backend.

    Now, under the downloads section, the customer can see the downloadable product. The URL that is being hit on hovering the mouse over the downloadable file is of the Amazon S3 server.

    After tapping on the downloadable file, you can check that the URL is of the Amazon S3.
