250 EBM
250 EBM is a cloud ERP service run by TMR Computing Ltd, a software company based in Rwanda.
It sells ready-to-use Odoo to small and mid-sized firms that want one place for sales, stock and billing.
Its offer centres on EBM, the Electronic Billing Machine system Rwandan firms use for tax invoices.
So the service pairs point of sale, stock, CRM and online selling with EBM-ready billing.
Its website names three main groups it serves: food outlets, retail shops and service firms.
Clients pay in Rwandan francs (RWF) and can choose monthly, six-month or yearly billing.
250 EBM wanted to give each client a separate Odoo system while running the whole service from one place.
Setting up a new Odoo database by hand for each business would take too long as sign-ups grew.
Manual setup also makes it hard to keep each client on the same tested settings.
At the same time, a café, a clothes shop and a law firm do not need the same apps or user counts.
So the business needed a way to serve mixed needs while keeping each client’s data apart.
Webkul delivered the multi-tenant Odoo platform that lets 250 EBM sell hosted Odoo as a subscription.
The base is Webkul’s Odoo SaaS Kit, which creates a separate Odoo instance and database for each client.
With this setup, 250 EBM handles new sign-ups, settings and client instances from one admin area.
250 EBM sets up each new customer through the automated instance setup in the SaaS Kit.
Once a business picks a plan, the platform creates and deploys its own Odoo system.
Plans on the site run on Odoo 16 Community, from the Hustler plan up to Enterprise.
Because each deploy follows the same steps, every new client starts from a standard, working setup.
As a result, onboarding a new business takes less time than it would with manual work.
The team runs all client instances from one central setup, while each Odoo system stays separate.
From there, the 250 EBM team can set up, adjust, track and manage each customer database.
This way, a restaurant, a shop and a service firm can each get the apps and users they need.
Even so, the team follows one fixed process to run the service, whatever the plan.
