Product identifier changes – SKU optional and UUID

SKU is no longer required to create a product in Akeneo, and UUID is now the new technical product identifier.

To identify and update the products, UUID provides more flexibility.

Reference entity replacement operation via Tailored Import

Reduce manual work by mapping values in the import file to reference entities in Akeneo PIM.

The use case for this feature is when you need to update the color in supplier files to match the color names in Akeneo PIM.

Our Enterprise Edition users will benefit from security and bug patches on community and Enterprise editions.

Akeneo App Store

Now we have connectivity with the Akeneo App Store and Akeneo PIM, so you will see all the app stores where you can discover, browse and connect with trusted apps.

Quality score and Product Model

The quality score of the product models and sub-models is also added to the account when working with product variants in Akeneo PIM.

Now the quality score of the product model will be visible from the product grid and product form.

App Authorization Notification

Now additional authorization will be required for app connectivity.

In this release, users who manage the app will receive a notification alerting them to grant the new authorizations, making the process seamless and secure.

Tailored Imports

Tailored Imports allows you to transform, map and import data files that aren’t associated with an Akeneo PIM Catalog. 

Akeneo attributes map with your sources. You can import virtually any file structure you receive.

Automate SFTP for Import & Export

Akeneo PIM allows you to securely import and export your product data to remote SFTP servers.

Catalog for Apps

This feature allows you to configure which products you want to share with an app.

Additionally, data cleaning for tailored imports

With these continuous improvements to Tailored Imports, you can import your product more easily. You can now clean up HTML characters and perform transformations like turning and trading.

Save time by removing consecutive white spaces at the beginning and end of your cells.

Enriched Categories

 In Akeneo PIM’s new version, categories can now be enriched with e-merchandise information, such as images and descriptions and store content, making products more impactful.

Schedule and Automate your product import and export

With this feature, Admin can automate their import and/or exports.

You will be able to –

• Connect your product imports/exports to remote storage (Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Storage or any SFTP server).
• Automate them by scheduling their executions.

Import any file structure to Akeneo PIM

For all SAAS users, when importing product information manually no longer need to edit your XLSX file.

Manage your asset family

Now it’s possible to define transformation at the asset family level, it means that each asset for the of a given asset family, transformation will be applied automatically.

Akeneo, built on PHP and MySQL, specifies Php 8.0 as the minimum requirement for Akeneo 7.
