    Updated 23 October 2018

    What is Advanced Rest Client?

It is the API testing tool. API testing is done using the API endpoints and validation is performed based on the return value. In this tool, we can use two type of methods to send and receive the request: ‘GET & POST’ mathods.

GET Method: In this method, key values are passed along with the URL.

POST Method: In this method, the information is going in a hidden way.

These are the two way to transfer information from a browser to the server within URL.

    Features of Advanced Rest Client:

    – ARC supports all the methods of HTTP, like- [GET, PUT, POST, DELETE].
    – ARC provides the ‘JSON’ Response ‘Formatter’ and ‘Viewer’.
    – it provides the feature of ‘browse’ and ‘attach file’ for uploading purpose.
    – It provides the ‘HTTP Header Editor’.
    – it defines the content-type for ‘POST’ methods including multiple or form-data.
