Merchant Story: Aroma Trick

Aroma Trick is a British scenting brand that makes scent diffusers and pure aroma liquids for homes and businesses.

The brand began in Chelsea, London, works today from Hatfield in Hertfordshire, and now sells in the US and UAE.

Its range covers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth diffusers, seasonal aroma liquids, fragrance collections, starter kits and gift sets.

Shoppers buy from the website, while business clients come from hospitality, healthcare, retail and fitness.

The online store runs on WooCommerce, and staff also sell face to face at the counter and on client visits.

Why Aroma Trick Needed a WooCommerce POS

Three routes bring in sales: the website, the counter, and on-site visits to business clients.

WooCommerce handled the online orders well, but face-to-face selling sat outside it.

So the brand needed a point of sale that worked from the same catalogue, prices and inventory as the website.

Sales made in person also had to land in WooCommerce as orders, rather than sitting in a separate record.

Field selling added one more need, because staff visiting a client wanted the same checkout they used in the shop.

How Webkul Implemented WooCommerce POS for Aroma Trick

Aroma Trick worked with Webkul to set up a complete WooCommerce POS on its existing store.

Staff now use a till that runs on the same products, prices, stock and customer records as the website.

Every sale at the counter or on a client site lands in WooCommerce as an order. That keeps both channels on one system.

WooCommerce POS Setup for Counter and On-Site Selling

Webkul set up outlets to match how Aroma Trick sells, each with its own store details and assigned stock.

Cashier accounts link staff to an outlet, and permissions control what each person can do. Each account also tracks its own cash drawer.

At the counter, staff can hold a cart, split a payment between cash and card, or apply a discount.

The till also works away from the shop, since it records sales offline and syncs them once back online.

How the POS Keeps Stock and Catalogue in Sync

The till reads the WooCommerce catalogue directly, so devices, aroma liquids, kits and gift sets need no second product list.

Inventory updates in real time, which means a counter sale reduces the same stock the website sells from.

Aroma Trick can manage that stock centrally or outlet by outlet.

Orders taken at the till then sync back to WooCommerce and sit beside the online ones.

POS Checkout, Barcode Scanning and Sales Reports

Webkul set up barcode support, so staff create barcodes from SKU or product ID and scan them at checkout.

The setup works with everyday retail hardware such as barcode scanners, ESC/POS thermal printers and cash drawers. Custom invoice templates keep printed receipts on brand.

Staff can pull up an existing customer or record a walk-in buyer, along with their order history.

Reports show gross and net sales in real time, split by tax, discount, outlet and cashier. Stock reports sit in the same place.

Results of Aroma Trick Using WooCommerce POS

Online and in-person selling now run from a single WooCommerce store.

Shop and field sales no longer need a separate record, so stock and sales history stay in one place.

That gives Aroma Trick a clear view of what sold, where it sold, and who sold it.

Webkul has built the same setup for other merchants, including a Czech music academy that sells at live events.

These WooCommerce POS development services support the brand’s mix of consumer and business selling.
