User Guide for Magento 2 Beauty Try On

Magento 2 Beauty Try On extension enables store admins to provide a virtual try‑on experience for beauty products.

They can turn the feature on or off as needed and use it with both simple and configurable items.

It supports eyewear, lipsticks, and bindis, allowing admins to define lipstick shades and flag any product for virtual trials.

A dedicated backend section lets admins upload product images and adjust virtual try‑on settings, making setup fast and management effortless.

Features

Installation of Magento 2 Beauty Try On

The installation is quite simple just like the standard Magento 2 extensions.

#Download Module

Firstly, you need to log in to the Webkul Store, go to My Account>My Purchased Products section, verify, and then download and extract the contents of this zip folder on the system.

#Upload Folder

Once the module zip extracts, follow path src>app and then copy the app folder into the Magento 2 root directory on the server as shown below:

#Run Commands

Next, You need to run the following commands,

php bin/magento setup:upgrade
php bin/magento setup:di:compile
php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
php bin/magento indexer:reindex
php bin/magento cache:flush

Language Translation

For translating the module language, navigate through the app/code/Webkul/BeautyTryOn/i18n and edit the en_US.csv file.

Thereafter, rename the CSV as “en_SA.csv” and translate all right side content after the comma in the Arabic language. After editing the CSV, save it.

Now, upload it to the path app/code/Webkul/BeautyTryOn/i18n, where the installation of Magento 2 is on the server.

The Magento 2 Beauty Try On extension will be translated into the Arabic Language. It supports both RTL and LTR languages.

The user can edit the CSV like the image below.

Admin Configuration of Magento 2 Beauty Try On Extension

Once the admin successfully installs the extension, they proceed for its configuration. They’ll navigate to Stores>Configuration>Beauty Try On Configuration.

From here, they enable or disable the module for the beauty try on feature. It is visible as below,

  • Enable Beauty Try-On – Admin selects Yes or No to enable or disable the virtual try on feature.

Admin can also navigate to this configuration by tapping on the Beauty Try On icon on the admin side panel as per the image below,

Creating Beauty Try On Product

Once the extension is enabled, the admin proceeds to create the beauty try on product. For this, they navigate to Catalog>Products. It supports both Simple and Configurable products.

Next, tap on the Add Product button on the top right corner. It will redirect to the below page,

The following options are available for the admin,

  • Is Beauty Try On Product? – Admin selects as Yes or No.
  • Beauty Try On Type – Option to select between Sunglasses, Lipstick or Bindi.
  • Lipstick Color – If Lipstick is selected, admin can select the color from color picker accordingly.

After configuring the settings, the admin must upload the product image. For this they scroll below to the Beauty PNG section as per below,

Admin taps on Choose File button and selects the product image to upload which will be used for the virtual try-on. Next, they proceed to Save product after filling out rest of the fields as required.

Beauty Virtual Try On – Storefront

When customer visits the admin’s store, they can proceed to try products virtually. When admin enables the beauty try on feature for a product, a Virtual Try On button is enabled on product page.

Once the customer taps on the Virtual Try On button, a pop up is opened with the camera allowing them to present their face and try the products virtually. Let’s check the 3 products below,

Configurable Product

Customers can also virtually try configurable products. They can select the product from the virtual try on popup. Once enabled by admin, they’ll be available on the storefront as per below,
