Magellan Groupe Increase Sales with Webkul’s Bundle Product

Magellan Groupe is a French manufacturer of sportswear products. Founded in 1995 in the North of Isère in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier. The core business was originally the manufacturing and distribution of event/advertising textiles in Europe.

In the late 1990s, they established themselves as a leader in various segments: t-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts. After gaining experience over the years, they got into distribution business.

They are also the official distributor of some of the renowned brands including Adidas, Hydrogen, Sergio Tacchini, etc.

Sportswear eCommerce Market in France

The French sportswear market is estimated at €6.7 billion. In Europe, France is the second largest sporting goods market after Germany.

The French sportswear market is dominated by Decathlon and Intersport, which accounts for around 80% of the total market.

The use of sports apparels has increased in the last few years and is no longer exclusively dedicated to sporting activities.

France’s sports market is thriving, driven by a strong emphasis on fashion-forward designs and a culture that encourages outdoor activities.

PrestaShop Bundle Product

PrestaShop Bundle Product facilitates store owners to create bundle by combining multiple related products and sell as a single package.

Instead of navigating multiple product pages to find the desired items, this module allows cutomers to buy matching products from a single page.

The admin can create bundle sections by adding products. The products along with price and quantity selctor will display in the respective sections on the bundle product page in the storefront.

Also, the store owners can apply quantity-wise discount on the sub-products added to the bundle to encourage users to purchase.

Customers can choose quantity of the required products from the bundle sections and purchase them from a single page.

Magellan Groupe deals in a wide range of sporting goods. They wanted to offer products in bundles. So, they decided to purchase our Prestashop Bundle Product module.

Custom Requirements of Client

Magellan Groupe had two custom requirements for which they contacted us.

  1. Allow admin to add out of stock product to the bundle section.
  2. Customer should be able to place order for bundle product if the sub-product of bundle has 0 quantity and admin marks bundle product as preorder.

Conclusion

The demand for sports apparels and equipments are on the rise in France.

Offering products in bundles helped Magellan Groupe increase their average order value, boost revenue, and improve customer satisfaction.
