Display Vendors on Category Page for Magento 2

Updated 11 March 2024

Introduction

Magento 2 Display Vendors on Category Page helps the admin to add an option to select the vendors for a particular category in the category display settings as “Sellers Only” and an additional vendor grid.

So, only those sellers who have the products of that particular category in their product collection will appear on the seller’s (vendor) grid.

At the front end, when customers click on the category for which the admin option “Seller Only” is selected, and customers can view the list of sellers instead of their products.

And customers can even view the vendor collection page displayed on the category page by clicking on it. So, this extension will allow customers to view the list of sellers.

Important Note – This module is an add-on to the Magento 2 Marketplace module. To use this module, you must have installed the first Magento 2 Multi Vendor Module.

Translation

If a user wants to translate their module from English to German then they need to follow the path /app/code/Webkul/MpShowSellerOnCategoryPage/i18n in their unzipped folder and will get a CSV file with the name “en_US.csv”.

But now they will rename that CSV as “de_DE.csv” and translate all right side content after the comma in the German language.

After editing the CSV, save it and then upload it to the path /app/code/Webkul/MpShowSellerOnCategoryPage/i18n where they have installed Magento 2 on the server.

The module will get translated into the German Language and supports both RTL and LTR languages.

Category – Customer View

When customers click on the category for which the “Seller Only” option is selected by the admin, they can view the list of vendors instead of their products. Customers can view the vendors in the chosen category.

This type of functionality is very useful because the structure of the marketplace is massive. Where there are multiple sellers dealing with a lot of products.

Customers can click on the vendor in the category they have chosen to view the collection page.
