Multiple screen management with Odoo POS Advance Screen!

Having multiple POS screens is beneficial for your business, no matter if they are client-facing or kitchen. However, managing them from different places takes a lot of work.

Odoo POS Advance Screen is developed to solve this problem. It provides you with features of 3 different screens in a single Odoo app. Moreover, it helps centralize the screen into one.

The Odoo app assists you in the efficient management of the cart, review, and Kitchen screen. It further offers all the functionalities of the mentioned screen modules (Kitchen, Cart, and Review).

Configure them separately and in your Odoo backend, and use the URL to launch them. Additionally, it clubs the configuration of each screen (listed ones) under a centralized menu.

  1. Odoo POS Advance Screen permits configuring for multiple screens simultaneously in Odoo POS.
  2. Set up review, cart, and kitchen screen from the same module without POS/IOT box.

  1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
  2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘.’
  3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
  4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
  5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List.’
  6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘.’
  7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

Let’s begin the configuration of the Odoo POS Advance Screen.


1. Navigate to ‘Screens’ to view all the created screens. To create one, move to the ‘POS Screen Configuration’ menu.


2. Under the menu, you can view all the configured screens and create one with the ‘New’ button.


3. To configure the Kitchen screen, enter the name, select the screen type (kitchen), allowed POS, allowed POS categories, accepted, pending, and threshold order color, and max order duration (in seconds).

Once done, save the configuration to generate the ‘Display URL.’


4. Similarly, you can configure the Review screen by entering the name, selecting screen type, POS config (POS session to use), Welcome screen heading, sub-heading, message, and add an image.


5. Scroll to the bottom and tick the checkboxes as required to perform the listed actions. And add the banner image. Save the screen once done with the save icon to generate the screen URL.


6. To configure the Cart screen, enter the name, choose screen type, POS config (POS session), Welcome screen heading, sub-heading, message, and image.

Also, you can enable showing product images and choose which action will trigger the product display on the cart screen from the available options.



7. The review screen will look like this, and customers can give ratings, write feedback (optional) and submit it. After that, they will see a success message on the screen.


8. The Cart screen will show products and total in this manner on the Customer cart screen.


9. On the Kitchen screen, the order notification will be shown like this.


10. The kitchen manager/chef can check and accept or decline an order.


11. On declining, they need to specify the reason so the POS user can notify the customer.


12. The Kitchen display home screen will show all the new, done, and pending orders. Also, the kitchen in-charge can toggle to view the side order menu with all the ordered items.


13. The kitchen in-charge can mark an order as partially or completely done by opening its details.


14. The Odoo POS session shows the list of kitchen order and their status, table number, and other details.



15. You can check all the reviews and feedback from the ‘Screens> POS Reviews’ menu.


16. Likewise, you can view all Kitchen order and their details from the ‘POS Kitchen Orders.’
