How to Install PrestaShop Customer Group Wise Product Tax

PrestaShop Customer Group Wise Product Tax Configuration

Under Customer Group Wise Global Settings, the admin can select the customer groups for which he wants to apply global tax.

Once enabled, the admin can select the tax rule for the customer group.

The selected tax rule will be applicable on all the members of a group.

Suppose a customer visits the product page.

Let’s assume that the admin has applied 5% tax for the “Customer” user group.

As selected by admin while configuring the module settings, an 18% tax has been applied to the users of visitor group.

Apply Tax Rule to Individual Products

Customer group wise tax settings are also available for individual products. This means the admin can set tax rule for customer groups for individual products.

If the admin has selected ‘Module configuration tax’ for a customer group, then the global tax applied for that customer group will be applicable on the product purchase.

As set by admin, a 5% tax will be applicable for members of “VIP Customers” group on the product.

When two different tax rules applied for Customer Group

Suppose the admin has applied a global tax of 5% for “Customer” group and 18% for the same group on a product.

In this case, tax rule applied for customer group on the individual product will be given priority.
