User Guide for Odoo Website Tap Payment Acquirer

Odoo Website Tap Payment Acquirer allows you to add Tap as a secure card payment option on your Odoo website. As a result, customers can complete online payments quickly using major debit and credit cards.

Moreover, Odoo Website Tap Payment Acquirer supports multi-currency payments and uses 3D Secure authentication. This helps protect transactions and builds trust during checkout.

Additionally, the module records every Tap payment directly in the Odoo backend. This makes transaction tracking, order verification, and payment management simple for admins.

1. Add Tap as a payment method on the Odoo website checkout page.
2. Accept major international and local card payments supported by Tap.
3. Use 3D Secure authentication to reduce fraud and chargebacks.
4. Support multiple currencies based on Tap enabled regions and accounts.
5. Store and track every Tap transaction inside the Odoo backend.

1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive a link to download module’s zip file.
2. Extract the file on your system after download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘wk_payment_tap
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate Developer Mode.
5. Then, open Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List.’
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘wk_payment_tap’
7. You will be able to see module in the search results. Click on ‘Activate’ to install it.

1. From your Odoo backend, go to Website → Configuration → Payment Providers. Here, locate Tap and enable it for your website.

2. Once Tap is enabled, open the Credentials tab and enter your Tap API keys. You can use sandbox keys first to test the integration safely.  

Test Mode: Used to simulate payment transactions in a sandbox environment without processing real payments.
Enable Mode: Activates the payment method for live use, allowing real transactions in the production environment.

3. Now, place an order from the Odoo website and select Tap as the payment method during checkout. Then, click Pay Now to continue.

4. After clicking Pay Now, the customer is redirected to the secure Tap payment page. Here, they enter card details and complete any required 3D Secure authentication.

5. After successful payment, the customer can review order details such as order number, total amount, and payment method on the confirmation page.

6. Finally, the admin can go to Invoicing → Customers → Payments in the Odoo backend to view Tap transactions.

Each record shows payment status, amount, customer details, and provider reference.customer information, and transaction status as confirmed.
