    Product Auction App for Shopify: Auction API Feature App

    INTRODUCTION:

    Product Auction app helps merchants to run auctions on their stores. Then, customers visit the stores and place bids for the auction products. Now, the merchants using the Product Auction app can get access to the Auction API via the app.

    Now, you can get access to Product on Auction APIs and check the responses for various actions performed in the app. API stands for an Application programming interface. It is a set of tools and protocols that will help you building sync and much more

    Enable Auction API Feature App

    To enable the API feature you will have to visit features app section of the app. Find this app in the feature app section. You have to enable this API feature from the featured app section so that you can access the API. Besides that, this will have additional charges of USD 10 per month over and above your current plan.

    Click the ENABLE button to activate the Auction API feature app.

    Once you enables this Auction API feature app, you will get another option in Menu ” API CREDENTIALS”

    Features of Auction API

    • Admin can add multiple users and generate API credentials to let them access Auction API.
    • From API Credentials menu admin can view all the users and can revoke or disable the access anytime.
    • Note: Access token Validity is for 1 year and Refresh Token Validity is for 2 year.

    How to Add User

    From API Credentials menu navigate to Add User. Click on Add User and fill the required Field.

    IMPORTANT NOTE

    Access Token Validity:-

    The unique access token will be valid for

    1 YEAR for the Users

    Refresh Token Validity:-

    The refresh token will be valid for

    2 YEARS for both Users & Sellers.

    How to check the response?

    With the help of the provided API credentials, user can check the responses of specific actions performed in the app like this:-

    Once you provide the API DOC to the user, they can check the responses using the provided API credentials.

    For this, User needs to follow the below-given steps:-

    • Open the API Doc.
    • Click the Authorize button.

    • Clicking the Authorize button, get the option to enter the value as Bearer {access_token} and click the Authorize button.
      NOTE: The value that needs to be entered in the box: Bearer {access_token}. You need to add ‘Bearer’ prior to the access token. Here is an example: Bearer eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiIsInR5cCI6IkpXVCJ9

    • Now, the user will open any of the resources to check the response.

    • Lastly, click the Try it Out button to check the response. This way, the user can get the response for different actions performed in the app.
