After the successful installation of the module, a new tab ” Cart Reminder” gets available from where admin can configure the module.

    Configuration

    Manage Abandoned Cart

Under “Abandoned Cart” tab, admin can view all the abandoned carts and reminders sent for these carts.

By clicking on ‘Reminder’ button, you can view the number of reminders sent to the customer for its abandoned cart. You can also view that on which reminder a customer has opened the mail or clicked on the checkout button.

    Manage Cart Reminder

Admin can add a cart reminder by clicking on “Set Cart Reminder” button.

Admin can add two types of reminders:

    1. Global Reminder
    2. Particular Reminder

    Adding a global reminder

A global cart reminder works for all the abandoned carts and will be sent to the customers for abandoned carts automatically through cron. You can add only one global cart reminder.

Note: If the voucher type is set to ‘amount’ then the amount can be set with either “Inclusive” or “Exclusive” of tax.

Once you have saved a global reminder, you can view it under “Manage Cart Reminder”.

In a similar way, you can add a particular reminder and send it to the customers for their abandoned carts manually.

    Cart Reminder Frequency

Under “Cart Reminder Frequency”, you can create reminders by adding the day(s) and time after which the reminder email will be sent to the customers for their abandoned carts. After installation of the module, two cart reminder frequency gets added by default, but you can edit the reminder details as per your requirement. Cart reminders created here will be sent automatically through cron.

You can add new cart reminder frequency by clicking on “Add Frequency” button.

Suppose a customer has added products in the cart at 8:00 am and the time after which a cart gets abandoned is 4 hours. So, the cart gets abandoned at 12:00 pm. Now, as per cart remainder frequency added by admin, one reminder mail will be sent to the customer at 14:00 pm, second reminder mail will be sent to the customer at 18:00 pm, and third reminder mail will be sent 20:00 pm.

    Mail Template

Under “Mail Template” tab, you can create mail templates and assign it to the cart reminders.

A view of the mail which will be sent to the customer.

In this way, admin can easily create reminders for abandoned cart & can even send a reminder mail to the customers.
