    Guide for Magento 2 Pathology Lab Management Extension

    Using the Magento 2 Pathology Lab extension, customers can now book pathology lab tests within your Magento 2 website. Apart from that, the admin in the first place can create the pathology labs. While creating a pathology lab the admin will enter the email of the lab user.

    In the same email, a password reset link is shared. After the lab user resets the password from the storefront, the lab user will be able to log in to manage the pathology lab, edit the lab information and manage the orders assigned by the store admin.

    Features

    • Admin can add or edit pathology laboratory.
    • Admin can manage the pathology laboratory orders.
    • Lab users can edit the lab information.
    • Lab users can upload the customer report on corresponding orders assigned to a Lab via Admin.
    • Customers can see its report as well as download it from the customer panel.
    • Customers can add patients from the customer panel.

    Installation

    #Download Module

    Firstly, you need to log in to Webkul Store, go to My Account>My Purchased Products section, verify and then download and extract the contents of this zip folder on the system.

    Once the module zip for Magento 2 Google Address Auto Complete Extension is extracted, follow path src>app and then copy the app folder into the Magento 2 root directory on the server as shown below:

    You need to run the following commands:

    • php bin/magento setup:upgrade
    • php bin/magento setup:di:compile
    • php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
    • php bin/magento indexer:reindex
    • php bin/magento cache:flush

    Language Translation

    For translating the module language, navigate through src/app/code/Webkul/PathologyLab/i18n and edit the en_US.csv file. Thereafter, rename the CSV as “en_SA.csv” and translate all right side content after the comma in the Arabic language. After editing the CSV, save it.

    Now, upload it to the path src/app/code/Webkul/PathologyLab/i18n where the installation of Magento 2 is on the server. The module gets translated into the Arabic Language. It supports both RTL and LTR languages.

    The user can edit the CSV like the image below.

    Initial Configuration Settings.

    After successful installation, the admin will navigate through Stores->Configuration->Pathology Lab as per the snapshot below.

    Here, the admin will –

    • Enable the functionality for the Magento 2 store by choosing Enable else select Disable.
    • Enable or disable the time slots on the product page.
    • Choose the allowed days for delivery.
    • Display the total number of days.
    • Enter the minimum required time for processing the orders.
    • Enter the Google API Key
    • Enter the message that is displayed when the delivery slot is not available.
    • Choose the delivery slot frontend layout as Dropdown, Chip, or box types.

    Lastly, tap on the Save button to save the initial configuration settings.

    Admin – Pathology Lab Creation & Other Options

    The admin will get various options in the admin backend panel after the installation of the extension. There are two main options –

    • Pathology Management
    • Delivery Time Slots

    Here, first, we will see how the admin can create the pathology lab in the first place.

    To create the pathology lab, the admin will navigate through Pathology Management-> Laboratory List. Here, the admin will find the pathology labs that he already has created if any.

    To create a pathology lab, tap the Add New lab button and the below section comes up.

    Here, for the new lab, the admin will enter the –

    • Lab Name
    • Lab address.
      Here, using Google Maps auto address suggestion the address can be selected, and the address gets filled up automatically.
    • Enter the Postcode
    • Enter the Lab email where the password reset link will be shared with the lab user.
    • Upload the lab image
    • Set the status of the lab as enabled by selecting the option as a Yes else select it as No to make it disabled.

    Lastly, tap the Save Lab button to save the lab.

    After the above step, the pathology lab will be created.

    Create Pathology Lab Test Product:

    To create a pathology test product the admin will navigate through Catalog->Products. Here, the admin will tap on the Add product and choose the simple product to create a pathology test product.

    After entering the details of the pathology test product, you can enable the home collection and lab visit for the product as required. This information is then visible on the product listing page on the storefront.

    Manage Patient Test Orders:

    Under this section, the admin will find all of the pathology test product orders that the customers have placed from the storefront.

    Apart from that, the admin will be able to assign the orders to the pathology labs. To do so, for a particular order tap the Assign Lab link, and that brings up the section to assign this order to a pathology lab.

    Here, the admin will select the lab to whom the order is to be assigned and then tap the Assign Lab button. After assigning the lab, the admin will see a success message for the same.

    Kindly note: If the report for the order is not uploaded by the assigned lab then, in that case, the admin will be able to assign the order to himself or to another lab as required.

    Manage Patient List:

    Under this section, the admin of the Magento 2 website will be able to view the complete list of patients. Apart from that, the admin can also see the patients added by customers under this list.

    Here, the admin will be able to delete any patient as required by selecting the patient and from the actions dropdown selecting the delete option.

    Kindly note: In case an order has been placed by the patient, in that case, the patient will not be deleted unless the order status has been changed to complete.

    Manage Patient Reports:

    Under this section, the admin can see the complete list of reports that have been generated for the patients. The admin can see the report id, patient id, order id, report file name, creation date, and updation date as well.

    Apart from that, the admin can also delete the reports under this section by first selecting the report, and from the actions dropdown selecting the delete option.

    Delivery Time Slots:

    Under this section, the admin has two options :

    • Manage Delivery Time Slots
    • Manage Delivery Zip codes

    Manage Delivery Time Slots

    Under this section, the admin can create the delivery time slots for the order as required. To add a time slot tap the Add New Slot button. After that, choose the day, it’s starting time, ending time for the slot, set the quota for the slot, and set it as enabled.

    After that, tap the Save time slot button on the top right-hand corner to save the delivery time slot.

    Apart from that, the admin can view the time slot orders as well. To view the details of the orders the admin can tap the View Order link under the actions column.

    Manage Delivery Zip Codes

    Under this section, the admin can add the delivery zip code range where the tests will be available. Apart from that, the admin can also see the added zip code range that has already been added.

    To add a new zip code range, tap the Add New Zip Code button. After that enter the zip code range for which you want to provide the tests, enable the delivery zip code, and under time slots select the delivery time slots for the respective zip codes as required.

    Lastly, tap on the Save button in the top right-hand corner.

    Pathology Lab User – Panel Options

    After the admin has created the pathology lab from the admin backend, the lab user will get an email to reset the password.

    After tapping on the link for setting up the new password the lab user will be redirected to the the page where he can set his new password.

    Now, the lab user can log in to the storefront to manage the pathology lab. To do so, the lab user will enter his username and the new password and tap on the sign-in button after that.

    After login, the lab user will find the below section.

    Here, the lab user will have two options –

    • Edit Lab Information
    • Assigned Order List

    Under this section, the lab user will be able to edit the lab information as required.

    Under this section, the lab user can see all of the orders that have been assigned to the respective lab by the admin.

    From here, the lab use can upload the pathology reports for the orders and after upload can also download the same.

    To upload the report, tap the Upload Report link, and that brings up the below section. Here, choose the image or the pdf file that you want to upload by tapping the choose file option.

    After choosing the file, tap the save button to save the report for the order.

    The lab user can also download the report by tapping the download button for the respective order as per the snapshot below.

    Customer – Pathology Lab Options & Workflow

    The customers will log in from the storefront as a customer by entering their email address and password.

    After login, the customers can see their dashboard options as per the snapshot below.

    Kindly note that the customers need to verify their email address before accessing their account panel options.

    Customer Book a Pathology Lab Test:

    To book a test the customer can navigate to a respective category or tap the Book a test option available in the side account panel. This navigates the customer to the respective pathological lab test section.

    Here, the customer views the respective tests and can view if the home collection and the lab visit options are available for a particular test as shown above in the snapshot.

    The customer from here can add the pathology test to the cart as required by tapping the add to cart button.

    After adding the product to the cart, the customer can navigate to the checkout page.

    At the checkout page, the customer will select the patient for whom the test is being ordered and then tap the next button.

    After that, select the customer address and choose the delivery date and time slots as required.

    Now, tap the Next button to place the order by tapping the Place Order button.

    After placing the order, the customer can view the order details under his account panel.

    Pathology Lab Option – Add Patient

    Here, the customers can add their patients as required.

    For the same, the customer needs to fill in the required details and then tap the Save button.

    After adding the patient, the customer will be redirected to the patient list where the customer can edit or delete the added patients under their account panel.

    My Reports:

    Under this section, the customers can see the reports and download them as required.
