With WPML you can create multi-lingual websites with ease and manage language translation.
Use this to make an advanced translation that includes front-end texts coming from your theme and plugins, menus, widgets, and more.

Installation & Configuring WPML
Simply, go to https://wpml.org/account/ after logging in, click the Downloads button right below the My Account option.
Download WPML with String Translation, Translation Management, and Media Translation.
On the admin panel, go to the Plugins > Add New click Upload plugin select the zip files and install.
WPML – Initial Language Setup
To prepare your store for Multilingual translation you need to perform some initial settings.
Firstly, go to the WPML > Languages to enable Site Languages as shown below.
After which go to the section Language switcher options.
Here, you will have the option to set the order of the languages and what should appear if the translation is missing.
Footer Language Switcher
Customize what to include in the language switcher. Choose colours for all parts of the language switcher.
WPML options allow displaying a country flag, the native language name and the language name in the page’s language.
Custom Language Switchers
In the Custom language switchers section, you can enable or disable the custom language switchers on your site.
WooCommerce Marketplace View – Language Switcher
The way how a customer of your marketplace can fetch the desired language translation made using WPML is described below.
Firstly, the user may simply click the desired language from the footer of the marketplace store as shown below.
Steps to Translate Posts, Pages & Other Items
WPML’s Advanced Translation Editor is the recommended tool for translating posts and pages.
You can activate the Advanced Translation Editor by navigating to WPML > Settings under the How to translate posts and pages section.
If you do not want to translate the content yourself, you can also:
● Send content for translation to a professional translation service.
● Create your own team of translators from the Translation Roles tab in Translation Management and assign translation jobs to them.
Shopping Cart Page Language Translation
WPML Multilingual CMS contains WCML (WooCommerce Multilingual), which is a plugin that will help you easily translate your e-commerce texts including products, shop and cart pages, checkout and more.
Texts that have not been detected by WCML can be translated via the String Translation module.
Perform String Translations Using WPML
WPML String Translation helps you to translate texts that are not in posts, pages and taxonomy.
Which includes the site’s tagline, general texts in the admin screens, widget titles and many other texts.
Firstly, go to the WPML > String Translation.
Here you may translate all of the strings that you need use filters to narrow down your search and find the exact string you are looking for.
Further, click the Edit icon or Add translation icon to proceed further. As you can check below after adding text, simply save it.
Seller Registration Page String Translation
The below image is an example of the seller registration page string translation in the german language simply by clicking the German language button from the footer.
Please note – The admin needs to add a page translation from the back end then only the users and the sellers will have an option to perform language translation of a particular page into the required language.
To ease out the string translation user process, one may simply go to WPML > Themes and Plugins localization.
As shown above, check the checkbox of the selected plugin (here Marketplace for WooCommerce) and next click the button Scan selected plugin for strings.
Now a popup will appear with scanning results. Further, open all the strings in the marketplace by clicking the domain button.
Here click the Add icon and perform string translation using the editor as shown below.
Translating Products – WPML
For the product, translations go to WPML > Translation Management. Filter all the products click the checkbox and Add selected content to the translation basket.
After which, in the section Translation Basket, click send all items for translation.
Next, go to the section WPML > Translations and translation for the product using the advanced editor as shown below.
Seller Dashboard String Translation
Without using the string translator some of the elements couldn’t be translated before as shown in the below image.
Now in this section, we have described the workflow of how a user can translate all the elements on the seller Dashboard.
Now to translate the keyword Shipping the admin can navigate to WPML > String Translation.
Further, type the keyword in the search box and click search if the particular string is not available to translate a message with can’t find the strings you’re looking to translate? will appear on the screen click on the same.
Next, click on the Choose texts for translation button as shown below.
Further, search the particular keyword that you are looking for translate and then click the checkbox to select the string and click the button Add to String Translation.
Finally, click the button Return to String Translation.
Now translate the particular string as shown below using WPML string translation.
Seller Product Translation
As soon as a seller tries to translate the product from their end they will find that the access of such isn’t available on their end.
Therefore, the seller needs to request admin permission to translate their product.
Using the basic marketplace feature (Ask to admin) the seller can use it to raise a request to the admin for granting access to translate the product.
The admin is required to add the seller as a translator for this the admin can navigate to WPML > Translation Management > Translators.
Further, click Add a translator and select an existing user and set them as Translator.
Further, the admin can select languages in which the seller can translate their products and click Save.
After which the seller can translate all of their products on their own as shown below.
WPML Dedicated Media Translation Editor
The WPML Media Translation helps in performing the translation of images and other media for translated content.
Users will be able to add/upload replacement images for content in different languages and translate the meta texts of those images.
Firstly, go to the WPML > Media Translation.
At last for media translation click the Add/Edit icon for making media or image content translations.
Here as shown in the below image add an updated image for the translation along with the name and caption of the media.
Further, simply click the button Save media translation.
Media Translation – WooCommerce Marketplace Using WPML
There are certain media elements like product page, seller profile icon, banner and more that could create problems for users if not available in the native language.
Using the WPML all such media translations are fetched by a customer by simply switching to a desired language from the footer.
Further, below is an example of a product that a user can translate by using the above process.
Now, you can understand a customer who doesn’t speaks English may face problems knowing the content of the product. Since it’s written in the English language.
For such incidents, the store admin can provide a different product image for the german language translation as shown in the below image.
