Odoo Tally Connector, the perfect partner for accounting integration!
Odoo Tally Connector- Odoo and Tally are two of the prestigious tools in their domain. With Odoo helps users manage their business; similarly, Tally assists in managing their accounts. But a problem arises when users want to connect Tally with Odoo to use them simultaneously for their business.
Users need a module that can connect and import data from Tally to Odoo making their work seamless and impeccable. So users don’t have to migrate each ledger individually; all they have to do is integrate both of them.
Odoo tally connector helps users integrate tally with Odoo so they don’t have to migrate the account that they have prepared beforehand. Further, users can map the data manually.

INSTALLATION
- Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
- Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘odoo_tally_connector’.
- Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
- Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
- Then, open the Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List’.
- In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘odoo_tally_connector’.
- You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.
WORKFLOW CONFIGURATION
After installation configures the module in your system by the following steps:
1. Go to ‘Invoicing’ and then in the top menu open the ‘Configuration’ tab and from there choose ‘Tally XML Tags’.

2. On the next page, you can create new XML tags by clicking the ‘Create’ button to add a tag. With this module, you can identify, organize, and store accounting data.

3. Now, under the ‘Configuration’ tab click and open the ‘Tally Field Mapping’.

4. In Tally field mapping, you can either create (by ‘Create’ button) or modify (by the ‘Edit’ button) the existing mapping. Also, you can tick the checkboxes to use them while accounting.

5. Go to ‘Configuration’ > ‘Configuration’ under ‘Tally’.

6. Click and open ‘Configuration’ and then tap the ‘Edit’ button.

7. On this page, you can set ‘Default Journal Ledger’, ‘Default Tally Product Ledger’, ‘Default Tally Tax Ledger’, etc. Further, you can tick the checkbox if you want to enable ‘Bill Allocation’. Set all the configurations as per your requirement and don’t forget to select ‘Tags Mapping’ from the dropdown menu.

8. Once configured for every setting, click the ‘Save’ button to save changed settings.

9. Next, go to ‘Customers’ > ‘Generate XML’.

10. Click on the ‘Create’ button to start creating XML.

11. Then select ‘Tally Configuration’ from the dropdown, select ‘Invoice Dates’, click ‘Add a line’ to choose the Invoice(s), and click ‘Select’ to insert them.


12. After that, click on the ‘Proceed’ button to change the state from ‘Draft’ to ‘In Progress’.


13. Once done, click ‘Generate XML’ and then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the ‘Attachment’ icon to view the XML file. Click on the file, and ‘download’ the file in your system.
