How to configure the PrestaShop Marketplace Product Label

Labels Visibility Settings

Under “Label Visibility Settings”, the admin can:

  • Enable the random display of labels on the product image if a seller has set the same position for multiple labels.
  • Allow or disallow the sellers to change the label status.
  • Enable or disable the display of labels on the product, category, brand, and supplier pages.

Display label randomly

In case, a seller has set the same position for multiple labels, then the first label created by him is considered for that position and other labels will display randomly on the product images.

Labels Dimensions Settings

Under this section, the admin can configure the dimensions of the labels for the product, category, brand, and supplier pages. These dimensions are for the image type label and by default get auto-fill while creating a new label.

Seller End Workflow

Post-installation, two new tabs “Product Label” and “Product Label Rule” get available on the seller’s account. From these tabs, a seller can add & manage product labels and product label rules.

While creating the labels, the seller set the position of the labels “Sale” and “New Arrival” to 3. The very first label created by the seller is considered for that position and the other label will display randomly as configured by the admin from the back office.

If an admin has disabled the “Display label randomly” field, then the label “New Arrival” will not display as the position of both the labels is set to 3.

Label Bulk Action

A seller can choose to assign labels to multiple products at once. Under the “Product” tab, a seller can select the products on which he wants to assign the labels.

After selecting the products, click on the “ASSIGN BULK LABEL” button.

assign bulk label

On clicking the button, a popup appears on the screen from where the seller can select the labels that he wants to assign to the products.

assign bulk label

While performing the bulk action, suppose a seller has assigned the labels “New Arrival” and “Hot Deal” to the product Faded Short Sleeves T-shirt but restricted the “Sale” label. Now, the “Sale” label gets unselected from “Set Labels” and gets selected under “Restricted Labels”. Earlier, all three labels were assigned to the product.

As the label “Sale” is restricted for the product, therefore, only the labels “NEW ARRIVAL” and FAVOURITES” will now display on the product image.

Product Label Rule

The seller can add product label rules to apply labels on multiple products.

add label rule

While adding a rule, the seller can set the condition for the display of labels.

The seller can create the rule based on the following criteria:

  1. Price Rule
  2. Featured Products
  3. New Product
  4. Online only
  5. On sale
  6. Free Shipping

If selected “Feature Products” label rule type, then the assigned label will be displayed on all the products that fall under the featured product category.

add label rule

As per the rule created by a seller, the “Sale” label will appear on all the seller’s feature products.

Let’s create a label rule for the price range.

add label rule

A seller can define the price range and the selected label will appear on the products that fall in the specified price range.

The label “NEW ARRIVAL” will display for the product as the product price falls under the range defined by the seller while creating the rule.

Similarly, a seller can create rules for several other conditions to display the labels.

View Product Labels – Admin End

Admin can view a list of all the labels added by the sellers under the “Product Label” tab.

Under the “Manage Product Label” tab, admin can:

  • Enable or disable the product label.
  • View the seller’s name who has added product label.
  • Edit or delete the label.

Also, an admin can add a new label on the seller’s behalf by clicking on the “Add new label” button.
