Prerequisites for using the Odoo Marketplace Buyer Seller Communication Module
For this module to work properly, make sure you have:
FEATURES
- Facilitate direct communication between buyers and sellers for any queries or feedback.
- Allow buyers to contact sellers via the product page or profile.
- Include images, documents, or other files in messages.
- Track the status of message threads to monitor progress.
- View, oversee, and update conversations from all sellers in the marketplace.
- Sort messages by status or date for better organization.
- Send automatic email notifications for every new message added to the thread.
- Enable or disable the buyer-seller communication feature for each seller individually.
INSTALLATION
To install the Odoo Marketplace Buyer Seller Communication module, follow these steps:
- After you buy the app from the Webkul store, you’ll get a link to download the module’s zip file.
- After the download is complete, unzip the file on your computer. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named-‘marketplace_buyer_seller_communication’
- Copy this folder and paste it into your Odoo Add-Ons folder.
- Open the Odoo App and go to Settings. Click on Activate Developer Mode.
- Next, go to the Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List.’
- Remove all filters in the search bar and search’marketplace_buyer_seller_communication.’
- You will be able to see the module in the search results. Click on ‘Install’to install it.
WORKFLOW
1. After completing the installation, log in as an Admin and navigate to the Odoo website, now proceed to Configuration >> Settings.

2. In the Miscellaneous tab, activate the Buyer-Seller communication settings. This will enable interaction between marketplace sellers and buyers.

Note: Configure account settings before creating basic marketplace settings in this module.
Admin View
3. The admin can view all communication records between sellers in Odoo Marketplace Buyer Seller Communication.

4. The admin can review communication details and manage their status.

5. Here the admin can manage the communication status as required.

Seller View
6. With the help of Odoo Marketplace Buyer Seller Communication, the seller can view all their communication records.

7. From there the seller can review the communication details.

8. Next, the seller can include attachments with their messages.

Website View
9. Customers can purchase a product from the Shop and add the product to the cart. On the product page, customers can check the seller’s details and can contact them if needed.

10. If the customer wants, they can share their query with the seller and click the ‘Submit’ button.

11. Next in the communication history, the customer can check the conversation between the buyer and seller.
