The Odoo maintenance mode module enables administrators to activate maintenance hours, during which users are restricted from accessing the website.

When maintenance mode is activated, users will receive an informational message notifying them that the site is currently undergoing maintenance.

Odoo maintenance services help the customers or the users to know that the site is under maintenance.

Odoo Maintenance Mode provides a feature that enables you to place your Odoo server, including both the website and backend, into a maintenance state.

This mode proves invaluable when conducting diagnostic tests on the server, as it effectively prevents customer requests from being processed.

By implementing Odoo Maintenance Mode, you can incorporate a dedicated maintenance page into your Odoo website, which promptly informs visitors that your server is temporarily unavailable due to maintenance activities.

Furthermore, this feature allows you to collect and store the email addresses of visitors who accessed your website while it was under maintenance, ensuring that you can keep them notified of any updates or changes.

By activating the plugin, the server enters maintenance mode, ensuring that only registered users with sufficient privileges are able to view the front end.

INSTALLATION

1. Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘odoo_maintenance_mode’.
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on the ‘Update Modules List’.
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘odoo_maintenance_mode’.
7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

1. Firstly, log in to the Odoo Instance and go to Settings.

2. Select the website to activate the Odoo maintenance mode.

3. Click on the ‘Maintenance Mode’ Enable the check box next to maintenance mode, and Save the Settings. Click on the ‘Click here to configure’ to configure the maintenance mode settings.

4. Here, all the configured messages will get displayed during maintenance mode for the Visitors and Accessible Users.

5. All the emails entered by users during maintenance mode will be displayed with states. Send email notifications to the pending after being back in working mode.
6. Emails to be notified after maintenance.
7. Proper customizable and translatable messages to the accessible users will be displayed in Backend and Website. Messages can be Enabled/Disabled.
