User Manual for Odoo AI-OCR Document Digitization Sale Order

Introduction

Odoo AI-OCR Document Digitization Sale Order module simplifies the processing of sales orders by using AI to extract key information from scanned documents.

Installation

  1. Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
  2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘odoo_invoice_digitization’
  3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
  4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
  5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List’
  6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘odoo_invoice_digitization’
  7. You will be able to see the module in the search results. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

  1. After installing the Odoo AI-OCR Document Digitization Sale Order module, navigate to OCR Pipelines. Open any record to view the extracted data.

2. You can see the file name, OCR template source, uploaded document, and the extracted JSON data. To create a record in Odoo, click “Create Record” at the top left.

3. To check or create templates, click on the Configuration tab and select OCR Templates.

4. To customize your sales order template, open it and edit the field mapping. Adjust field types, labels, and default values to match your desired extraction results.

5. Click “Dry Run”. A window will open for uploading a PDF file to extract its data. Once the extraction is complete, click “Create Record” to save the record in Odoo.

7. You can create a new template as well by clicking on “New” in the top-left corner of the screen. This will open a form where you can define the details and specifications.

8. You can also perform a dry run directly from the sales dashboard. Click the drop-down arrow next to “New” in the top-left corner, and select the “AI” option to extract data.
