Luca’s gift began as a personalised gifts Store, with a focus on unique and heartfelt items but in summer 2024, Taha(Founder) transformed into a dynamic multivendor marketplace .

Rather than investing in a constant stream of new products, Taha wanted to pivot into a service-oriented approach by transforming into a marketplace.

Challenges Faced by Luca’s Gift

Luca’s gift, a family business founded by Taha Yavuz in 2020, initially operated as an offline store. Wanting to expand and reach a wider audience.

Taha decided to shift his business online, choosing Webkul’s Multivendor Marketplace app as the backbone for his new online marketplace.

The app provided him with the comprehensive tools he needed, perfectly aligned with his requirements for an efficient online marketplace.

While the Marketplace solution met Taha’s needs, he wanted some adjustments to enhance the seller experience.

Challenge 1 : Seller ShipStation

The first challenge he faced was with shipping setup. Initially, sellers could use ShipStation, but all orders needed to be fulfilled via the marketplace seller panel.

Taha wanted more flexibility in this setup to empower his sellers in managing their fulfillment through ShipStation directly.

Challenge 2 : Paypal Payout autopay Feature

The second area for enhancement was the PayPal payout seller-payment method. While Taha appreciated the convenience of the app’s PayPal AutoPay feature,

He wanted a customised scheduling option to ensure that all seller payments could be processed on Mondays, providing consistency and predictability for his weekly accounting.

Challenge 3 : Seller Signup Affiliation a new Feature

Lastly, Taha introduced a unique and innovative idea: An affiliation feature.

This was a brand-new addition for the Multivendor Marketplace app, as it did not initially support any affiliation or referral functionality.

Taha envisioned a referral system in which affiliates could refer new sellers to join Luca’s gift’s marketplace.

Affiliates can earn revenue by referring new sellers, incentivizing marketplace growth.

This feature would not only attract more sellers but also foster a sense of community and growth within Luca’s gift’s ecosystem.

With these customisation, Taha successfully adapted the Multivendor Marketplace app to meet his vision, setting Luca’s gift on a path to greater reach and a more robust online presence.

Overcoming Challenges through customisation

To meet Taha Yavuz’s vision for Luca’s gift Webkul worked closely with him and implemented tailored customisation .

These tailored solutions helped Taha shape the marketplace to suit his goals while enhancing the experience for his sellers and customers.

1. Enhanced Shipping Setup with ShipStation Integration

Initially, Luca’s gift’s marketplace required that all orders be fulfilled directly by the marketplace, even when sellers connected their ShipStation accounts.

Webkul customized ShipStation integration, enabling sellers to manage order fulfillment independently via their own accounts.

This customisation empowered sellers, giving them greater control over shipping logistics, which enhanced the efficiency of Luca’s gift’s marketplace operations.

2. Custom PayPal Payout Scheduling
Our default integration offers automated PayPal payouts, but Taha requested scheduling all eligible payments exclusively on Mondays.

In response, Webkul customised the payout system, enabling a scheduled weekly payout feature for Luca’s gift not only weekly they can schedule even for monthly and daily too .

Now, payments are processed predictably every Mondays, aligning with Taha’s accounting needs and simplifying cash flow management for the business and its sellers.

3. Affiliation and Referral System for Seller Growth
Taha’s vision for a referral-based affiliation feature to attract new sellers was a unique and valuable addition to the marketplace.

Webkul developed an affiliation module that allows Affiliates to refer new sellers to the marketplace using unique referral codes.

Affiliates earn a portion of the admin’s earnings for each new seller they refer and their subsequent transactions.

This feature fosters community growth, boosts seller engagement, and empowers sellers to expand Luca’s gift’s marketplace collaboratively.

Webkul’s customised solutions made the Multivendor Marketplace app adaptable for Luca’s gift, enhancing growth and efficiency.

Conclusion

Luca’s gift’s journey from a family-run offline business to a flourishing online marketplace showcases the impact of strategic adaptation and collaboration.

By selecting Webkul’s Multivendor Marketplace app, Taha Yavuz set the stage for his business’s online success. However, it was the custom solutions provided by Webkul that allowed Luca’s gift to reach its full potential.

By enhancing shipping, customizing payouts, and introducing a seller referral program, Taha made Luca’s gift highly seller-friendly.

These customisation not only met Taha’s immediate needs but also attracted new sellers, expanded Luca’s gift’s market reach, and increased customer engagement.

Reflecting on his journey, Taha appreciates Webkul’s commitment to understanding his business vision and delivering tailored solutions.

Today, Luca’s gift is on a promising path to becoming a popular destination for personalised gifts, thanks to a partnership with Webkul that has laid a strong foundation for long-term growth and success.
