The auto-pay feature automatically deducts the winning bid amount from the winning bidder’s card. To set this up, a minimum amount must be specified to authorize auto-pay upon winning, which needs to be at least USD 0.50 to comply with Shopify’s minimum payment requirement. This charge must also meet or exceed this amount during the bidding process.

Once the setup is complete, merchants can create auction products and define the “Autopay Authorize Permission Amount” for placing bids. This amount authorizes auto-payment by the bidder. If they win, the winning amount is automatically deducted; if they do not win, the order amount is refunded.

Payout to Sellers as per Auction order fulfillment

When a product is created for the auction and bidders place their bids, the system declares the highest bidder as the winner. The winning bidder receives an email at their registered address containing details about the winning product and a “Buy Now” link. They can use this link to purchase the product directly or visit the website to complete the transaction.

Once the payment is confirmed, the respective seller can fulfill the bidder’s order.
