    Filters To Serve Quickly in Odoo POS!

    Are you selling a lot of products and still needs to serve customers quickly? Generally, it takes a lot of time in finding products; due to which customers may lose their patience. So, it is really crucial to figure out a way to quickly serve your customers. Filtering products on the basis of their categories can offer quick and easy navigation for the cashier.

    So, now you don’t need to worry; as Odoo POS users can also filter out the products on the basis of the categories. “Odoo POS Category Filter” module allows the admin to set any particular category of products for each POS session. Hence, only the selected category of products will be available in the corresponding particular POS session.

    If you have different departments to sell different type of products then simply put the category filters from the Odoo POS backend. Hence, the cashier can work faster and effortlessly.

    INSTALLATION

    1.) Once you purchase the Odoo POS Category Filter module From Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
    2.) Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘pos_category_filter’.
    3.) Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
    4.) Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
    5.) Then, open on Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List’.
    6.) In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘pos_category_filter’.
    7.) Now you will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to insall it.

    WORKFLOW

    Back-end

    (1). Login to your Odoo interface and go to > Point of sale.

    (2). Here click on the ellipsis tab of any POS session you wish and go to > settings.

    Go to the POS session's settings.

    (3). Now navigate to POS session’s configuration under > POS interface in “Product categories”

    (4). Add the categories in the list to make available in that particular POS session. Save the settings.

    Front-end

    (5). Open a POS session; the cashier can only see the selected product categories in the particular POS Session.

    Only one selected product category is available in POS session.

    (6). Moreover, you can also set more than one category for a POS shop.

    This time we selected two product categories.

    (7). Now, resume the POS Session; and here, selected two product categories are shown to the cashier.
