    PrestaShop Marketplace Blog Addon {User-Guide}

    PrestaShop Marketplace Blog: With the help of this module seller can add blog to the store under different categories. The seller can also add different categories for the blog.

    The new blog can be added from the ‘blog’ menu under my account section. The blogs written by the different sellers can be viewed on the product page and for a particular seller’s blog. We can also view their blog from seller shop page from “View Blog” button displayed on the left side. Seller can also view his blog from seller profile page from “View Blog” button displayed on the left side.

    Note: PrestaShop Marketplace Blog Addon is compatible with multishop and PrestaShop version 8.x.x.

    Features

    • Seller can write blog with different tags and add different blog categories.
    • User can comment on seller blogs.
    • Seller can activate/deactivate blog and user’s comments.
    • Admin can approve/disapprove seller blogs.
    • Seller can add blogs in multi-language.
    • Admin can display posts either in list view or grid view.
    • If the admin selects to display the posts in grid view, then admin has to provide the default image also.
    • Admin can set the position of the side bar and the number of posts displayed per page.
    • Enable/Disable the display of tags on side bar.
    • Admin can enable/disable the display of categories on side bar and display of recent posts on side bar.
    • If admin enabled the display of recent posts, then he can set the number of recent posts to display on the side bar.
    • Admin can enable/disable the display of popular posts on side bar.
    • If display of popular posts are enabled, then admin can set the number of popular posts to be displayed on side bar.
    • Admin can enable/disable the comment section on seller posts.
    • If admin enables the comment section, then seller can enable/disable the comment section on individual posts.
    • Admin can set the counter on the basis of “on every hit”, “day wise hit” or “one IP only one time”
    • Publish date for posts.
    • Display related products with the posts.
    • Display related posts with the particular post.
    • Set the featured image with the category.
    • Provide description for the category.
    • Get an email notification on deleting the associated category by the seller.
    • Provide group permission to the categories.
    • Manage the comments given by default comment system in “manage comment” tab.
    • Buyer can filter the posts according to language, categories, tags.
    • If buyer filters the posts according to the language, then buyer will see the list of posts written in the selected language and default language.
    • Admin can enable/disable the seller blog menu on the product page.
    • Enable/Disable the display of the view blog from seller shop page.
    • Admin can enable/disable the display of view blog from seller profile page.

    How to install the PrestaShop Marketplace Blog

    Install marketplace module

    After installing the marketplace module, you can install the PrestaShop Marketplace Bulk buy module.

    • Firstly, go to the module manager in the back office and click on ‘upload a module’.
    • After that, drag and drop the module file or select the file from the system.
    • In this way, the module installation will be successful.

    General Settings

    Under General settings, admin can:

    • Enable the display of “Seller Blog” link in the category menu at the front end.
    • Enable the display of “View Blog” button on seller shop and profile page.

    Theme Settings

    Under Theme Settings, the admin can:

    • Select the theme view as list or grid.
    • Set the position of the side bar.
    • Specify the number of posts to display on a single page.

    Content Settings

    Under Content Settings, admin can:

    • Enable or disable the manual approval of the seller’s blog.
    • Enable the display of tags, categories, popular posts, and recent posts in a side bar.
    • Set the number of tags, categories, popular posts, and recent posts to display in a side bar.

    Comment Settings

    Admin can choose to display the comment feature on the blog page. Also, the admin can configure the number of comments to be displayed per page.

    Seller End Workflow

    After the installation of the module, a new tab “BLOG” gets available for the sellers. From this tab, the sellers can add and manage blogs.

    For creating a blog, it is mandatory for the seller to create a category first.

    A seller can create a new category by specifying the category title, and friendly URL, and selecting the user group permission.

    After adding a category, a seller can view it under category list. A seller can enable, disable, edit, or delete the category.

    Kindly note the seller cannot delete and disable all the categories. One category has to be set as the default category. The default category gets associated with all those posts whose category has been disabled or deleted from the “manage category” list.

    Add New Blog

    A seller can add a new blog by selecting the category title and specifying the blog title and description. Also, the seller can add tags for the blog and associate products & other blog posts to the blog.

    After adding a blog, a seller can view it under ALL BLOG. The seller can preview, edit, and delete the blog.

    Manage Tags

    The seller can add the tags from the “manage tags” and assign the tag to different blog posts.

    Once added, the seller can view it under ALL TAGS. Also, the seller can edit or delete the tag.

    Front End View

    When a customer visits the store, he can view a separate category “Seller Blog” in the category menu. On clicking, all the blogs added by the sellers will display on the page.

    Also, the customers can view blogs of a particular seller from the seller’s shop page. A “View Blog” gets available on the seller’s shop page. When a customer clicks on this button, a list of blogs added by the seller gets displayed.

    In grid view, it is necessary to upload the default image to maintain the view of posts at the front-end.

    If a customer clicks on any tag at the front-end, then the customer can view only the posts which have been added to the selected tag.

    Manage Comments

    Now, when a customer clicks on any post, the customer can read the whole post and can also comment on the post. The availability of the comment section on the blog will totally depend on the admin and seller configuration for the comment block.

    The Seller can view a list of comments provided by the customers under Manage Comments.

    Admin can view a list of blogs added by the sellers under Seller Blog tab. Also, admin can enable, disable, and delete the blog.
