CS-Cart Hide Customer Details for Vendors is a simple and secure solution to protect customer privacy in your CS-Cart store.

It hides sensitive information such as names, emails, phone numbers, and addresses from vendors. At the same time, vendors can view essential order details required for fulfillment.

Admins can control data visibility based on vendor user groups and individual vendor settings. Customer information is also hidden in orders and printed invoices.

This helps build customer trust, prevents direct vendor–customer contact, and supports compliance with data protection regulations.

NOTE: To use this add-on, you must first install and enable the default Vendor Privileges add-on in CS-Cart.

To install the required add-on, go to Add-ons >> Developers >> CS-Cart and make sure that the Vendor Privileges add-on is installed and active, as shown in the snapshot below.

Create Vendor User Group (Required Setup)

After installing and enabling the Vendor Privileges add-on, the admin needs to create a Vendor User Group.

This user group will be used to control which vendors will have restricted customer details.

Go to Users >> User groups from the admin panel, as shown in the snapshot below.

Click on the “+” icon to create a new user group. Enter the User Group name and select the Type as Vendor.

Set the status to Active and configure the required privileges as needed. Then click Save, as shown in the snapshot below.

Once saved, the new Vendor User Group will appear in the User Groups list, as shown below.

After creating the Vendor User Group, you can proceed with the add-on installation and configuration.

After downloading the CS-Cart Hide Customer Details add-on, you’ll get one zip file, one install.txt file, and a relevant User Guide manual doc. Read it carefully for proper configuration.

Go to Manage Add-ons, and click on “Manual Installation” as shown below in the snapshot.

Click on “Local” to browse the zip file, and then click on “Upload & Install” as shown below in the snapshot.

After installing the add-on, you will see CS-Cart Hide Customer Details in the list of available add-ons. Next, configure the required settings.

Click on Settings to enable, disable, install, or refresh the add-on.

Ensure that the add-on is activated, as shown in the snapshot below.

To configure the add-on, go to Add-ons >> Developers >> Webkul Software Pvt Ltd. >> Hide Customer Details >> Settings.

Completing these configurations ensures smooth setup and control of hidden customer details directly from your CS-Cart backend, as shown in the snapshot below.

CS-Cart Hide Customer Details for Vendors Add-on — In the settings configuration section, the admin must enable the option “Hide for vendors” to activate the add-on.

The required setting includes:

• Select Usergroups allows the admin to choose vendor user groups for which customer details will be hidden, restricting access to sensitive information such as name, email, phone number, and address.

Assign Vendor User Group to Vendor Administrator

Before applying the hide settings, the admin needs to assign the created Vendor User Group to the vendor’s administrator.

Go to Users >> Administrators and click on the settings icon, then select Vendor’s administrators, as shown in the snapshot below.

After that, the list of vendor administrators will appear, as shown below.

Click on the required vendor administrator to open the profile. Navigate to the User groups tab and assign the desired Vendor User Group, then set the status to Active and click Save, as shown below.

Once saved, the Vendor User Group will be assigned to the vendor administrator, and its status will be set to Active, as shown in the snapshot below.

Hide Customer Details for Specific Vendors

After assigning the Vendor User Group, the admin can control customer data visibility for individual vendors.

Go to Vendors >> Vendors from the admin panel to view the list of all registered vendors, as shown in the snapshot below.

Click on the required vendor to open the vendor profile. In the Allow Customer Data section, enable the Hide Customer Details option and click Save, as shown below.

CS-Cart Hide Customer Details gives admins full control over vendor access and visibility.

From the Vendors section in the admin panel, store owners can view all registered vendors along with their essential details such as ID, name, email, registration date, and overall rating.

By using this add-on, admins can also hide sensitive customer information from vendors while still enabling them to manage their orders efficiently.

This maintains customer privacy without disrupting vendor workflows.

Vendor Panel Shows Orders with Hidden Details

After logging in as a vendor, the Orders section clearly shows that fields like Customer Name and Phone are marked as Hidden.

This way, vendors only access essential details such as order ID, status, date, and total, which are sufficient for order processing—while sensitive customer data stays protected.

By restricting sensitive fields, the add-on safeguards customer privacy while still enabling vendors to manage and fulfill their orders efficiently.

Order Details Page with Restricted Information

On the Order Details page, vendors can see all necessary data, such as products, pricing, taxes, and totals.

However, sensitive fields like Customer Information, Shipping Address, and Billing Address are displayed as Hidden.

Vendor Invoice with Hidden Customer Details

When a vendor prints the invoice for an order, sensitive customer information is also hidden in the printed document.

Fields such as Billing Details and Shipping Details are displayed as Hidden, while essential order information like products, quantity, price, and totals remains visible for processing.

This ensures vendors have the details they need for fulfillment, while personal customer data stays fully protected.
