Install the Connector in WordPress
Download our Tableau WooCommerce Connector zip file before installing it in WordPress.
If you don’t have an awesome WooCommerce store and want to build one you can hire WooCommerce developers.
When you have downloaded the file, log in to the WordPress dashboard> Go to Plugins> Add New Plugin.


Now a new section will open, here you can select the connector file from your computer.


After selecting the connector file you can install it on your WordPress.

Configure Tableau WooCommerce Connector on WordPress
When the Tableau WooCommerce Connector plugin is installed successfully you can configure it. Open the plugin from the left bar in WordPress.

Under the connection tab, enter the details as per the requirements and save the changes.

In the configuration tab, users can name the different data source fields according to their requirements. It will be automatically updated on Tableau.

Access Projects Directly on WordPress
If you want to access a report directly on your WordPress dashboard then import it. To import go to the dashboard on the left side of the WordPress bar and open it.

Paste the project code that you want to show in your WordPress dashboard directly.

Now, to import a project and get its code from Tableau you have to log in to your Tableau account.
Select the project you want to import in your WordPress dashboard.

Click on the share button.

Copy the embed code from the popup screen.

Paste it into the WordPress dashboard.

Exports Record to Tableau
Under the Export Records section, you can export data from WooCommerce to Tableau. Here, you can export data manually or schedule it weekly or daily.

Data Source Field Mapping
Data source field mapping allows you to map fields for both WooCommerce and Tableau under different objects. You can create fields for Product, User, Order and Order Items.

Let’s see how our Tableau WooCommerce Connector will help you sync your data. So, you can get a better analysis of your data.
Open your WooCommerce store, now you want to sync the Orders, Customers and Item data to the tableau.

Go to the WooCommerce Tableau Integration plugin and click on ‘Export Records’. Here you can export your data manually and automatically based on the criteria set by you.

Now Log in to your Tableau account under the ‘Explore’ section. You can see a record folder has been automatically created by Tableau. Click the folder to view your synced data.

You can see all your WooCommerce data has been successfully synced. If you want to see your data in a particular folder. Click on the folder.

To view all the data inside this file. Click on the ‘Edit Data Source’ button.

You can see all the data has been imported successfully into Tableau.

You can play with this order data to make reports for analysis which helps you in making better decisions.
In the image below you can see we have converted the synced data into a bar chart. Simply select the fields you want to analyze and automatically generate a clear bar chart.

In this other image, you can see we have added another field to the row section.
