User Guide for Odoo Website Wishlist Share 

Odoo Website Wishlist Share feature allows customers to create personalized wishlists and easily share them with others. 

Whether it’s for a special occasion or to save favourite items for later, this feature makes it simple for users to share their desired products via email or a shareable link. 

Odoo Website Wishlist Share enhances the shopping experience, helps customers get the perfect gifts, and encourages more sales through easy sharing.

Wishlist Share module works in conjunction with the following module:

Odoo Website Advanced Wishlist

You must install the above-mentioned module to use Odoo Website Wishlist Share.  

1. Easily add items to your wishlist with a single click, making it simple to save products you love.
2. View and manage saved items at any time, ensuring your wishlist is always up to date.
3. Share the Odoo wishlist via email or a unique link, making it easy for friends or family to see your preferred items.
4. Odoo Website Wishlist Share allow others to purchase items directly from the wishlist, simplifying the gift-giving process.
5. Receive notifications when items are bought from the wishlist, keeping you informed of any purchases.
6. Create custom wishlists for specific occasions like birthdays, holidays, or special events to keep everything organized.
7. Remove or update items in the wishlist as needed, giving you full control over your saved products.
8. Track the availability of items in real-time, ensuring that the products you’re interested in are always in stock.
9. Personalize Odoo wishlists by adding notes or details for each item, making it easier to communicate preferences with others.

1. Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive a link to download the module’s zip file.
2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘website_wishlist_share’. 
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List.’
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘website_wishlist_share’
7. You will be able to see the module in the search results. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

1. After installing Odoo Website Wishlist Share module enable Website Wishlist Share feature from the backend. 
Navigate to Settings > Website > Enable > Website Wishlist Share.

2. Once enabled go to Website and open the shop page. You will see the Website Wishlists option at the top. 

3. Choose a product you want to add to your Odoo wishlist. 

On the product page click the Add to Wishlist button to add the item to your wishlist.

4. Create a new Odoo wishlist or add the product to an existing one.

Click the Wishlist icon at the top to view your wishlist. You can also see options like Your Friend’s Wishlist or Public Wishlist, depending on the privacy settings added by the owner. 

5. Open the wishlist you’ve created or added products to, and you’ll be able to see the items in it. 

6. Click the three dots, on the wishlist for options like Edit, Move Wishlist to Cart, Make Default, or Delete Wishlist. 

7. Select Edit Wishlist to rename your wishlist, set privacy levels, or add a description. 

8. To share your wishlist with friends, choose Shared from the privacy drop-down, Once selected, click on the Add Contact option on the left-hand side. 

9. A pop-up will appear where you can enter the username and set the privacy level: View Only or View and Edit. 

After filling out the details, to share wishlist click Invite to send an email invitation to the user.

10. When the user receives the invitation, they can accept it. 

11. Once accepted, they can view or edit the share wishlist based on the privacy settings you’ve defined.

12. To see share wishlists by others, go to the Website > Wishlists section. Click on Your Friend’s Wishlist to view wishlists shared with you. 

13. To access public wishlists, select Public Wishlist, provided the owner has made their wishlist public.
