User Guide for Odoo Purchase Barcode Scan by Camera

Odoo Purchase Barcode Scan by Camera helps streamline the process of creating purchase orders by allowing users to scan product and vendor barcodes using a device camera.

With this module, users can scan barcodes instantly using either mobile or desktop cameras. The system automatically enters vendor and product details, helping manage purchase quotations.

This module is especially useful for handling bulk orders or repetitive purchases. Odoo Purchase Barcode Scan by Camera improves accuracy and adds flexibility to daily purchasing activities.

1. Users can scan barcodes using any camera-enabled device.
2. The system automatically fills in vendor and product details when a valid barcode is scanned.
3. Odoo Purchase Barcode Scan by Camera displays a warning message if barcode is invalid.
4. Products can be quickly added to purchase orders right after scanning.
5. You have the flexibility to enable or disable the barcode scanning at any time.
6. The module significantly reduces manual data entry mistakes.

1. Once you the App from Webkul store, you will receive a link to download the module’s zip file.
2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘purchase_barcode_scan_by_camera’
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List.’
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘purchase_barcode_scan_by_camera’
7. You will be able to see the module in the search results. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

1. After installing Odoo Purchase Barcode Scan by Camera, user can enable the barcode scanning feature in Odoo Backend by navigating to Setting >> Purchase >> Purchase Barcode Scan By Camera.

2. After enabling, the user will be able to see the scan button.

3. Once you scan the barcode, it will show you a pop-up with an Add or Scan Again button.

4. If you click on Add button, the details will be added to the purchase order, and a confirmation pop-up will appear.

5. If a barcode is invalid, it will show a warning with Scan Again Button.
