User Guide for Odoo POS SumUp Terminal Integration

INTRODUCTION

Odoo POS SumUp Terminal Integration allows users to connect SumUp card readers with Odoo Point of Sale. Sends payment to the device, speeds up checkout, avoids errors, and saves it in Odoo for easy tracking.

Odoo POS SumUp Terminal Integration also supports multiple SumUp terminals and accounts, making it ideal for stores with multiple counters or locations.

INSTALLATION

  1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive a link to download module’s zip file.
  2. Extract the file on your system after download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘pos_sumup_terminal_integration
  3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
  4. Now, open Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate Developer Mode.
  5. Then, open Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List.’
  6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘pos_sumup_terminal_integration
  7. You will be able to see module in the search results. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

  1. After installing Odoo POS Sumup Terminal Integration,
    Click on Configuration, then select SumUp Terminal Configuration, and choose SumUp Terminal.

2. Now select the paired reader you want to link with the SumUp terminal. If you want to pair a new reader, click “Pair New Reader” and enter the pairing code.

3. After that, go to Configuration → Payment Methods → Click on “New” to create a SumUp payment method. Fill in the required details: enable online payment (if needed), select the journal, choose integration, integrate with SumUp, and select the SumUp reader.

4. Add the items that are required to be purchased directly from the POS.

5. Next, click on SumUp to process the payment through the connected device, then validate your order to complete the transaction.

6. Now, in the backend, go to Configuration → SumUp Transaction. Here, you can view all SumUp transactions along with their respective amounts and statuses for complete payment tracking.
