Introduction
Odoo POS Dine-In and Takeaway allows restaurants to manage dine-in and takeaway orders directly from the Odoo Point of Sale system.
By default, Odoo POS does not provide a dedicated interface to clearly separate dine-in and takeaway order handling with packaging charge automation.
Odoo POS Dine-In and Takeaway solves this by adding clear Dine-In and Takeaway order options in the POS interface.
It also allows administrators to configure packaging charge rules and apply them automatically during order processing.

Installation
- Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive a link to download module’s zip file.
- Extract the file on your system after download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘ pos_dine_in_takeaway.’
- Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
- Now, open Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate Developer Mode.
- Then, open Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List.’
- In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘pos_dine_in_takeaway.’
- You will be able to see module in the search results. Click on ‘Activate’ to install it.
Workflow
- After installing the Odoo POS Dine-In and Takeaway module, configure the Dine-In and Takeaway settings by enabling Take Away, Packing in Dine-In, and Packing Charges.

2. Create and configure packing charge rules by defining price ranges and corresponding packing charges.

3. Select the order type as Dine-In or Take-Away from the POS screen while creating an order.

4. Apply packing charges in the POS by selecting the desired packing charge rule and clicking on the Apply button.

5. View the applied packing charges added to the order total on the POS screen after selecting a packing rule.

6. Update the applied packing charges by clicking on the Update button when charges are already added to the order.
