Odoo Image Capture By Camera is a smart add-on that lets users capture images directly with the device camera and save them in Odoo image fields.
Odoo Image Capture By Camera removes the need to upload images from local storage. Users can take photos in real-time and save them instantly in records.

Odoo Image Capture By Camera works with both image and binary fields. It supports mobile, tablet, laptop, and desktop devices for smooth image capture.

1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive a link to download module’s zip file.
2. Extract the file on your system after download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘odoo_image_capture_by_camera’.
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate Developer Mode.
5. Then, open Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List.’
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘odoo_image_capture_by_camera’.
7. You will be able to see Odoo Image Capture By Camera in the search results. Click on ‘Activate’ to install it.

Configuration of Odoo Image Capture By Camera

1. From your Odoo backend, navigate to Settings → Capture By Camera. Here, enable the Web Camera and Image Editing options as required.

2. Go to any record with an image field, such as Employee, Contact, or Product. Click on the camera icon available on the image field to capture a live photo using the device’s camera.

3. If your browser blocks camera access or no camera is found, a warning message appears. Grant camera permission in your browser settings or connect a supported camera device to continue.

4. After capturing the image, use the crop and preview screen to adjust the photo as needed. Click Save to store the final image directly in the record.
