INTRODUCTION
Odoo Dynamic Field Value Generator is a powerful tool that automates field value generation across domains using custom rules, filters (domains), and server actions.
It streamlines data entry, improves accuracy, and reduces manual work. Flexible formatting options and role-based access control ensure efficient and secure data management for admins and managers.

INSTALLATION
- Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive a link to download module’s zip file.
- Extract the file on your system after download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- dynamic_field_value_generator
- Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
- Now, open Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate Developer Mode.
- Then, open Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List.’
- In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘dynamic_field_value_generator’
- You will be able to see module in the search results. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.
WORKFLOW
- Once Odoo Dynamic Field Value Generator is installed, go to Settings >> User >> Field Value Generator. Here, select the role of Admin.

2. Then go to ‘Field Value Generator’ to access ‘Field Rule’
Admin can either access the pre-defined rule or create a new one for Value generation

3. To create a New Rule, go to >> Field Value Generator >> New >> Selected Field
User or the Manager can add a Prefix, a suffix or a separator. Admin can also select the Text Transform feature for text appearance.

4. To check the domain filtering option >> click on ‘Apply on’ >> User can see the selected records for which the Value would be generated

5. After that, click on ‘Apply for All’ to apply the custom rule to the selected records >>Select the option to either Update Value or Overwrite Values >> click Generate

6. To access the Contextual Action, click on Create Contextual Action,

7. This allows the admin to generate values directly from the model, either for bulk or a single record

8. Once the Targeted Field is selected and Rules are customized >> click on Generate.
