CS-Cart AI Reporting extension uses GenAI, NLP, and the Vanna AI Framework to turn natural language questions into accurate SQL queries.
Powered by Gemini and OpenAI, it helps both admin and vendors generate quick and useful reports without technical skills.
Users can ask about products, customers, orders, vendors, reviews, and categories using everyday language.
The system processes and sorts data efficiently, delivering sharper and faster reports.
Admin can also configure their preferred LLM provider through a simple API setup.

Minimum System Requirement (API Setup)
The following minimum system requirements are needed for this extension,
- Python Version – 3.10
- Space (1 GB)
- RAM (1 GB)
- API Key (Gemini, OpenAI)
- Server key and cert files (for Flask API)
- An Active Port (5000)
To install AI module, we need SSH access. You can also check the AI Models Server Installation Guide.
Installation
After downloading the CS-Cart AI Reporting extension, you will get the zip file of the installer, a pdf, and an install.txt file.
Read the PDF carefully for configuration.
Navigate to Add-ons –> Downloaded add-ons and click on the settings icon, from here you can manually install the zip file as shown below:
Now, click on Local to browse the zip file. Further, click on Upload & Install as shown below in the snapshot:
Activate Add-on
Admin can click on Settings icon to Disable, Install, or Uninstall the extension, as shown below:
Once you install and activate the CS-Cart AI Reporting extension, you can start using it immediately.
Module Configuration | Admin
After opening the CS-Cart AI Reporting add-on, click on the ” Settings” tab to begin the configuration process.
The admin needs to enter the Base URL, Token and Prefix for NLP to SQL Configuration and then click on the Save button.
Moreover, the admin can use the ‘Sync Schema’ button to refresh the internal data structure recognized by the AI, this ensures accurate SQL generation.
AI-Powered Report Generation | Admin
The admin can type a question in plain language, and the AI will automatically process them instantly & accurately.
Product Related Query
For example, if the admin types ‘Show Me All Products’, the system will display a list of all products based on the query.
Order Related Query
Similarly, when the admin types ‘Show Me Orders’, the system automatically displays a list of all customer orders.
Customer Related Query
When the admin types ‘Show Me Customers’, the system automatically displays a list of all customers in the CS-Cart store.
Reviews Related Query
When the admin types ‘Show Me Reviews’, the system automatically displays a list of all product reviews.
Vendors Related Query
When the admin types ‘Show Me Vendors’, the system automatically displays a list of all vendors available in the CS-Cart store.
Category Related Query
Admin can also query for category-specific reports. For example, typing ‘Show Products with Electronics Category’ will display only the products from that category.
Report Generation by Vendors
Vendors can also type questions in plain language, and the AI will instantly and accurately process them.
Product Related Query
When the vendor types ‘Show Me Products’, the system displays a list of all products that belong to that particular vendor.
Order Related Query
Similarly, when the vendor types ‘Show Me Orders’, the system automatically displays a list of all orders that belong to that particular vendor.
Reviews Related Query
When the vendor types ‘Show Me Reviews’, the system automatically displays a list of all product reviews that belong to that particular vendor.
Similarly, the vendors can make queries related to customers and category-based products.
The system will generate reports based on that vendor’s associated products and customers.
