Guide for Adobe Commerce Draft Preview

Magento 2 Draft Preview(Adobe Commerce) extension allows the admin to create a page as a draft and then see their page with a preview link and send it for review.

By using this module, the admin can manage the draft from the admin panel.

The admin can – edit the draft, create a new draft, delete the draft, send the draft for review and publish the draft.

Apart from that, the admin can complete draft preview management from the admin panel.

The admin can assign the draft manager role to the sub admin and they can comment on a page anywhere for any suggestions or corrections.

The sub-admin can edit their page and submit it for review. After the review submission, the admin will receive the mail.

• The admin can enter the Admin name and Email ID, which will receive the review mail.
• Review Request mail template managed by admin.
• Enable/disable the pages by selecting them.
• See the page as a draft with a preview link.
• The Admin can assign the draft manager role to the sub-admin.
• Send the draft page for review and admin will receive the review mail.
• While reviewing the page they can comment on that page.

The installation is quite simple just like the standard Magento 2 extensions.

#Download Module

Firstly, you need to log in to the Webkul Store, go to My Account>My Purchased Products section, verify, and then download and extract the contents of this zip folder on the system.

#Upload Folder

Once the module zip extracts, follow path src>app and then copy the app folder into the Magento 2 root directory on the server as shown below:

# Run Commands

You need to run the commands:

php bin/magento setup:upgrade

php bin/magento setup:di:compile

php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy

php bin/magento indexer:reindex

php bin/magento cache:flush

Multi-Lingual Configuration

For Multilingual support, please navigate to Store>Configuration>General >Locale Options. And select your desired language from the Locale option.

Thus the multilingual configuration completes.

For translating the module language, navigate through src/app/code/Webkul/DraftPreview/i18n and edit the en_US.csv file.

Thereafter, rename the CSV as “en_SA.csv” and translate all right side content after the comma in the Arabic language. After editing the CSV, save it.

Now, they have to open the file named en_US.CSV for editing.

Now, upload it to the path src/app/code/Webkul/DraftPreview/i18n where the installation of Magento 2 is on the server.

The module translates into the Arabic Language. It supports both RTL and LTR languages.

The user can edit the CSV like the image below.

Thus, the Language translation completes.

After the successful installation of the Magento 2 Draft preview module, you will be able to see the configuration panel under Store > Configuration> Webkul > Draft Preview as shown below.

Here, the admin can manage all the settings for the –

Draft Preview Configuration –

• Admin name : Set the admin name
• Admin Email ID : Set the admin email id which will be receive the review mail.

Email Template –

• Review Request Mail Template: Set the email template to receive the mail on it.

Lastly, tap the Save Config button to save the initial configuration settings.

To use Magento 2 draft preview functionality, the admin can navigate through Content>Elements> Pages.

Here, the admin can check the list of all the created draft pages for the website if any have been created.

Add New page:

Now, the admin can create new page by clicking on add new page as shown below in the snapshot:

Here, while creating a new page, Fill all the details like – page title and content heading.

Next, After filling the details for page title and content heading.

Now, Fill the details for Search Engine Optimization and pages in websites.

After filling details, they have choose the design layout and custom design update.

Next, save the page as a draft or directly publish.

Here, This page will contain all the information about the pages like Draft status- Published, Drafted, and Pending for review.

Admin Manage Draft pages:

The admin can manage the pages from Actions where they can Delete,Disable ,Enable or Edit the pages.

• Delete : Delete the pages by selecting them.
• Disable : The admin can disable the pages by selecting them. After disable the page, it will not show to anyone or admin cannot share the page to any sub-admin
• Enable: The admin can Enable the pages by selecting them.
• Edit: The admin can edit the pages.

Here, the admin can also manage the particular page from Action> Select where the admin can Edit, Delete, preview or view the pages.

• Edit: The admin can edit the pages and submit the page for draft review.
• Delete : Delete the pages by selecting them.
• Preview: The admin can Preview the pages. Admin can assign the draft manager role to the sub admin and they can comment on pages.
• View: The admin can view their pages.

After clicking on preview or admin assign the pages to sub admin then they will be able to add a comment after they active comment by clicking on active on that page:

Here, After active comment, The admin or sub admin will be able to comment anywhere as shown in snapshot for any corrections or updations on the page.

After commenting, the comment will show on comments section as shown below in the snapshot:

These comments will show to admin and sub-admin.

Filter the comments:

Here, the admin can filter out the comments by newest or oldest first. After filtering out, the admin will get that comments on top.

The admin can also verify the comments for Pending, Done and All comments. After filtering out the comments, the admin will get on top.

Send draft page for review:

The sub-admin can edit their page or send the draft page for review shown below in the snapshot:

Here, The sub – admin sends the draft for review.

New Review Request mail:

After the sub – admin sends their draft for a review the admin will receive the review mail.
