Odoo POS WeChat Payment Acquirer

Therefore, we have come up with the Odoo POS WeChat Payment Acquirer module. The module adds the WeChat Pay option in the Odoo POS that helps in quick payment validation. Once WeChat pay is selected, a QR is generated in Odoo POS. Then the customer can scan the code with his/her wechat app. 

Moreover, the module supports multiple currencies as provided by Wechat Pay. The WeChat pay transactions are stored in the Odoo for the admin’s convenience.

1. The Odoo POS WeChat Payment Acquirer module adds the WeChat pay option in the Odoo POS.

2. Once WeChat pay is selected, a QR is generated in Odoo POS.

3. The customer can scan the code with his/her WeChat app.

4. Once successful, the confirmation pop up shows up in Odoo POS.

5. The user just needs Stripe API credentials to integrate WeChat Pay with Odoo POS.

6. The module supports multiple currencies as provided by Wechat Pay.

7. The WeChat pay transactions are stored in the Odoo for the admin’s convenience.

INSTALLATION

1.) Once you purchase the Odoo POS WeChat Payment Acquirer module From Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.

2.) Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- “pos_wechat_payment_acquirer”.

3.) Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.

4.) Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.

5.) Then, open on the Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List’.

6.) In the search bar, remove all the filters and search “pos_wechat_payment_acquirer”.

7.) Now you will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

Back-end

1. Initially, login to your Odoo database and then navigate to the Point Of Sale app.

2. Now, navigate to the ‘WeChat Configurations’ sub menu under the ‘Configuration’ menu.

3. Here, you would need Stripe credentials for WeChat Pay. Click on the following link to Know More >> Enter the Credentials to successfully configure WeChat Pay with Odoo.

4. Allow WeChat Pay Option To Activate WeChat Pay For Odoo POS.

5. Now, you can launch the POS session.

Front-end

6. After placing an order, and while validating the order, select the ‘WeChat Pay’ option in POS to receive payment.

7. The QR code using WeChat Pay is generated on the screen. That a customer can scan & proceed with the payment.

8. The orange order line shows payment status as pending.

9. This popup appears to confirm successful payment in Odoo POS.

Back-end

10. Here, you can see the payment details which has been done with WeChat pay.
