Keeping this in mind, Webkul comes up with the module ‘Odoo Website Promotion Bar’. This module helps you to display the promotion bar on your Odoo Website.

Odoo Website Promotion Bar module facilitates you to create the promotion bar and display it on your Odoo website. You can display any of the important announcements regarding your website, products offers, sale, etc, on it very easily. You can set the position of the promotion bar on any side of the webpage.

Admin can also set the visibility of the Promotion bar as per the requirements. You can make the content for a promotion bar that attracts customers to your Odoo website. The admin can also display multiple promotions in the same promotion bar. The promotions would display one after another via slide effect.

FEATURES

The module allows you to add Promotion bars to any webpage on your Odoo website.
The position of the promo Bar can be set by the Odoo user as Top, Bottom, Left or Right.
The user can configure the time period for which the Promo Bar would be visible on the Website.
The visibility can also be set as public or portal from the Odoo backend.
If visibility is set to the portal, only those clients who are logged into their Odoo website account would be able to see the promotion bar.
Public visibility allows the announcement bar to be visible to all the visitors.
The admin can also display multiple promotions in the same promotion bar. The promotions would display one after another via slide effect.

INSTALLATION

Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
Extract the file from your system after the download finishes. As a result, you will be able to see a folder named- ‘website_promotion_bar’.
Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
Now, open the Odoo Apps and then, click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
Then, open the Apps menu and click on the ‘Update Modules List’.
In the search bar, remove all the filters and then, search ‘website_promotion_bar’.
As a result, you will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

Website Backend Configuration

Firstly, login to the ‘Odoo Instance’ and go to the ‘Website’ module.

Go to the ‘Webkul Website Addons’ and tick the checkbox next to ‘Website: Promotion Bar’
Now, click on the Configuration button very next to the check box of ‘Website Promotion Bar’

Check the configuration of the Website Promotion Bar Like Background color, Height and Width. You can change the configuration as per the requirement and then save
Click on the Tick type symbol to Activate the configuration on website.

Creation of the Promotion Bar

Now, go to the ‘Promotion Mapping’ and click on the ‘Create’ button to map the ‘Promotion’ bar.

Select the page on which you want to display your promotion bar.
Slect the position for the Promotion bar i.e., Top, Bottom, Left and Right.
Add the duration for Promotion at that period of time promotion bar is visible on your Odoo website.
Select the Visibility for the promotion bar i.e., Public or Portal users.
You can also make it Multi Promotion which allows you to run multiple promotion at same time by ticking the checkbox next to Is Multi Promotion and then select the Main promotion bar for Odoo Website
Make the content for Promotion bar and click on the Publish button to Publish it on the Odoo website.
