Odoo Access Control Management: Provide Access without hassle!!

When you own a business, it is very chaotic to restrict the user rights separately, but not anymore.

Odoo Access Control Management centralizes access controls for fields, models, menus, and more, simplifying restriction configuration without complex rules.

FEATURES

1. You can restrict user-specific access rights like Create, Edit, Delete, Views, Actions, Archive/Unarchive, Duplicate, and Export for the model.
2. This Module restricts access rights to hide buttons, actions, or tabs from views of any model for specified users.
3. It Controls user-specific access rights to hide navigation menus and submenus of any module for specified users.
4. It Hides filters and groups based on selected access rights.
5. It allows you to individually hide the chatter.
6. Restrict user settings to ‘read-only,’ hide chat, and turn off advanced mode for simplified control in Odoo.
7. It also restricts model-wise access rights for chatter.
8. You can restrict developer mode for any user.
9. This module also restricts the install/uninstall/update of any module.
10. It will be restricted from XMLRPC as well. 
11. You can disable the import-export feature for any user.

INSTALLATION

1. Once you purchase the App from the Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘access_control_management.’
3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
5. Then, open the Apps menu and click ‘Update Modules List.’
6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘access_control_management’
7. You will be able to see the module in the search results. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

WORKFLOW

1. After the installation, open Access Control Mangement.

2. You can create a new user profile by clicking on the new button. You can also edit the already-created profile.

3. Fill in the profile name and select the users to apply the access rights. Further, under the general tab, enable the user access you want to remove.

4. Navigate to the Hide menu and click on Add a Line. Select the menus you want to hide.

4. Moving forward to hide actions, select the operation and actions to disable and hide actions, respectively.

5. Under the Remove Actions/models, select the mode in which you want to disable the operation and hide the scheduled actions.

6. Enable the Remove Chatter option to hide the chatter from the users.

7. Here you can see that the access rights to restrict product creation set on the “Product Template’ are applied.

8. Similarly to other restricted access rights like hiding inventory settings, you apply for the required access right according to your business needs.
