    PrestaShop Virtual Try-On SaaS Based {User- Guide}

    PrestaShop Virtual Try-On: Take your store to the next level by creating best shopping experience for your customers with PrestaShop Virtual Try-On.

    While shopping online, customers often face difficulty while chosing the right product as they are unable to examine the product physically. The extension lets customers quickly and easily see how different sunglasses look at them before commiting to purchasing anything.

    The customers can upload the image or capture the image using the device camera and see how the spectacles look on them. Also, the customers can use 3D try-on feature to find perfect pair of glasses. 3D try-on captures customers’ faces from various angles and analyze them thoroughly.

    Note: PrestaShop Virtual Try-On Saas Based module is compatible with PrestaShop version 8.x.x.

    Features of PrestaShop Virtual Try-On

    • Enable virtual try-on feature for specific products.
    • Upload a default image to show on the virtual try-on page.
    • Allow customers to try the product virtually by uploading an image from the device.
    • Customers can capture their image from the device camera to virtually try the product.
    • 3D Try-on feature to allow customers to choose the right product.
    • Eye pupils are detected automatically in the image.
    • Adjust the position of the spectacle if it’s not positioned appropriately.
    • Customers can download or save the virtual try-on image for further use.

    How to Install PrestaShop Virtual Try-On

    • Firstly, go to the module manager in the back office and click on ‘upload a module’.
    • After that, drag and drop the module file or select the file from the system.
    • In this way, the module installation will be successful.

    Prestashop Virtual Try-On Configuration

    On the configuration page, it can be seen that the “General” section is disabled. To enable this section, you need to link your store with PrestaShop account and then purchase a subscription plan.

    Click on the link button to connect your store with PrestaShop account.

    On clicking the button, PrestaShop login page opens in a popup window where you need enter your credential to login.

    Once you have logged in, you can see you shop name and URL. Click on “Accept and associate” to link your store to PrestaShop.

    Once you have associated your store to the PrestaShop account, you now need to purchase a subscription plan.

    There are 3 plans available and you can choose the plan that suits your need.

    Basic Plan

    This plan offers image based try-on which means the customer can virtually try the products by uploading an image. With this plan, you can enable virtual try-on feature on upto 20 active products.

    Executive Plan

    This plan offer image as well as camera based try-on which means the customers can virtually try the products by uploading an image or capture the image using the camera of their device. With this plan, you can enable virtual try-on feature on upto 50 active products.

    Pro Plan

    With this plan, you can let your customers try the products virtually by uploading the image, taking an image from their device’s camera, or in 3D view. With this plan, you can enable virtual try-on feature on upto 100 active products.

    Once you have subscribed to a plan, you can now set virtual try-on feature for products.

    General Setting

    Under General Setting, you need to upload an image to show on the product page. Your customers can see this image in an virtual try-on window. By default, this image will display on the storefront until & unless the customer upload/capture image or try the product in a 3D view.

    Workflow of Virtual Try-On

    To enable the virtual trial for a product, go to Catalog > Products. Click on the edit button for a product for which you want to enable virtual try-on. After that, go to the “modules” section on the edit product page.

    After clicking the configure button, the following page will open.

    Here you can activate or deactivate the virtual trial feature for the product. You can also upload a try-on picture other than the default picture for the products. To do so, simply upload the default try on image for this product & click on Save.

    If you have subscribed to a pro plan, then an option to upload 3D image for virtual try-on will be available under the Modules tab.

    In this way, you can successfully activate and configure virtual try-on for the product.

    Product Page

    Now, customers can view a button to try the product virtually on the product page. After clicking on the ‘try me’ a new window will open to create an environment for virtual try-on of the product.

    On clicking the “Try Now” button, a window with default try-on image will open.

    Let’s suppose the customer has decided to use the feature by uploading an image. Then the following steps that will take place:

    Crop the image: After uploading the image, the customer needs to crop the image first.

    Detection: Here an automatic detection for the pupils on the face will run, so that eyeglasses can be set accordingly on the face.

    Application of the product: After the detection of the pupils on the face, eyeglasses will be applied on the face.

    After completion of the above steps, the customer can proceed to save this image for further reference.

    3D Try-On

    If the admin has subscribed to the pro plan, then 3D view option will display along with image and camera on the window.

    On clicking 3D View option, a popup appears on the page where a customer needs to enable 3D try on.

    On enabling 3D try on, the module access the device’s camera and the customer can visualize the product from different angles.
