There are two types of card authentication viz. PAN Only & 3D Secure.

    1. PAN Only -: This authentication method is associated with payment cards stored on file with the user’s Google Account. Returned payment data includes personal account number (PAN) with the expiration month and the expiration year.
    2. 3D Secure -: This authentication method uses a type of messaging protocol that enables a cardholder to authenticate themselves with card issuer during an online purchase. Its safety is ensured by facilitating the exchange of cardholder data between merchant, card issuer and payment system only.
